Ideal compact point and shoot?

Just being lazy here and putting a very well worn question out there. I've been hours and hours trawling through camera websites etc and Gentles camremote sites checking specs on compatable models.

I am looking for standard AP AV features of; ultra compact / compact light camera +10Mp, compatable with a Gentles triggering device, with AV out, preferably 1080 24 - 30fps.
There are many Canons that fit the bill, but with CHDK script (non too keen on it from experience). I have a few in mind between £100-£200 but just looking for suggestions / recommendations.
Front runners at the moment are Canon Ixus 220HS/Elph300. Also interested in the Pentax Optio H90 for value for money.
Although the more I look at the spec on the gp2.........Does anyone consider I could get more from a low end point and shoot than a gp2?
I see that Gentles now do a device for gp1 & 2.

Cheers

Steve

Would anyone disagree that the Gopro2 has eliminated the need for a low end P&S cameras for AP/AV? I cant find anything more suitable till getting up to the NEX5 etc level.
