Just saw the maximum amp i can choose is 40amp, which is about 2.5c. Guess i'm limited to that!
How much damage am i doing to a tattu 6s 16000mah if i charge it at 2.5c often???
Hey guys, fiddling with my new 406DUO to charge my 6s lipo's. I find it a bit confusing compared to my previous charger... What settings do you guys use?
I got a 70amp 120 volt power supply attached to it, trying to charge my Tattu's 6s 16,000mah lipo's.
Your actually limited by your power supply being 70A, so the max you could probably do is around 30A per channel. (if your lucky)
You may want to start looking at least a 1500W power supply, if you want to use the charger fully.
If you want to charge at 32A (2C) just make sure you have at least 10-12 AWG charging wires connected, or they will begin to melt pretty quickly.
Chargng time will usually be the same for a 5000 mAh or a 16000 mAh battery if you think about it you are charging at 1C, it should be twice as quick at 2C, expect a NORMAL balance charge to be around 35-40 mins.
There is no need to 100% charge your lipos if you want them quick, its the end balancing that takes up maybe the extra 10 mins, so you could charge to say 97% in about 20-25 mins at 1C
Just keep a closer eye on your charger/PSU for excessive heat etc, as charging these batteries is a whole different ball game.
