Hello I am buying a Cinestar 8 and I am kind of new to flying. I have been training on a sim and flying a small quad for a year. I want tp get a fpv system kit that is professional but not that expensive. I want one for a 7d operator and another one for the pilot. Can some one help me please or guide on what exactly do I need. In google I not able to find exact answers or a complete kit. In quadrocopter webpage there is not complete kit and I want a complete kit because I am mot too familiar and I dont want to buy something that is not compatible or that doesnt work together. Help please and thank you .

On sets around live feed transmission i've ran into conflicts with 1280 and 2.3-2.4. if it was mine, i'd look into the Immersion 5.8 uno with omni CP antennas on both ends. you can improve the signal by using a crosshair on the ground part. you would want the new unos that say NEXWAVE on em and there is a red rubber thing around it top and bottom. monitors in the 8-10" range work fine

Where are you? like in the world

Is it easiest to order from USA or china?

1.2 and 1.3 setups screw with gps units so much i'd highly recomend staying away from it. 900 has such massive antennas but can be used with rubber antennas they come with and works pretty good, but the picture is rougher, 5.8 is ultra clear, lotsa bandwidth

Droider, bear with me, this is my first look at fpv equipment. Want to know if I understand what's needed.

Your first link is for the 5.8 GHz transmitter (sending unit) and antenna that goes on the multicopter. You power it up per instructions and then run your composite video cable into the transmitter?

Your 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] link is for a 5.8GHz Uno Receiver. You will take a composite out signal (via cable) and run that to a composite monitor or your goggles?

Your 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] link is for an o5.8 GHz SpiroNET Patch Antenna that you will connect to the 5.8GHz receiver?

Your 4[SUP]th[/SUP] link is for 5.8 GHz SpiroNET Omni Antenna Set (RHCP). How many are there and does this also hook up to the Receiver?

Do all needed cables (except for video) come with these devices?

If you were filming with something like a gh2/gh3, would you use the video feed from that or throw another cam on the multicopter?

Thanks for the education.

If at all possible you want to be able to see exactly what the camera sees and for that you need to have the video feed from the camera itself. Before there was a reasonably priced video converter to be able to use the HD out from my Sony Nex 5N I used an fpv camera on the camera platform for lining up the camera with the subject, the problem was the fpv camera had a much wider field of view at a given altitude than the larger lens on the Sony and the result was often not getting all of the scene recorded by the Sony. While it looked perfect from my point of view through the fpv camera the Sony was actually seeing much less than I was, it took quite a few flights before I was able to judge the difference between what I was seeing and what the camera was seeing.

Now I have one of these connected between the camera and video TX so I see exactly what the camera sees, makes things much easier... http://www.quadrocopter.com/Freefly-HDMI-Converter_p_612.html

RTRyder......I have an hdmi converter that's really light, but only works with my 5D, not my gh2 or gh3. (it works on playback only on gh's) I have been looking for a cheaper alternative than the Freefly, but will go that way when I get set up if nothing else pops up.

yes

the spiro set is one receiver, one transmitter ant, the patch would give a cleaner signal but directional, can run either

Thank you for your help, ok , so for my set up. I just need to buy all the links X2 , one for the camera on the gymbal and one for the pilot ?
Do I need extra cables , or extra something ?
Thats all that I need ?
They have good image quality ?
What do you think is the range they have?
This is because I was looking and transmitters/ receiver at quadrocopter.com but they seem to be a litle bit to expensive .

Thank you I really apreciatte your help.
