Has anyone done this idea before?

When i first got into this one of my ideas for aerial photography was to try a GPS based timelapse. based on a max safe flight time of 6-8 minutes you would have to be able to land, change batteries and fly to a relatively exact location. i am assuming this is just unrealistic. But the end result could still be cool if the concept was to fly 5 minutes in one location and do it everyday for a month or so. A shot every 10 seconds sounds about right. So the real question is can you have the DJI or MK remember a point in space and return back once batteries are removed?

Could you save the co-oridinates onto a notebook & write them back into the navi board for every flight?

As MKTool waypoint routes can be saved as a file to be reloaded at will I don't see why not, particularly as a POI can also be specified in the route and saved along with all other GPS data.
