H3-2D issue

So today I bound the original tx to the P2 to run the RC Assistant then in the P2 Assistant as suggested. At first the video was a little shaky but it seemed to get steadier after about a minute in flight. I still have no discernible control over the tilt gain control, right now it is set at 5 which should be very slow but I see no difference between 5 and 100. Everything on the gimbal tab seems to be in a little brown color almost like it is disabled. Maybe I'm used to seeing the adjustment parameters in black if they are effective but not sure if this has anything to do with it. Do I need to be in NAZA mode or in the normal Phantom mode in the P2 Assistant for this feature to work properly.

You need to calibrate the X1 channel, i.e., tilt in both the RC Assistant and then in the Phantom Assistant. That will fix your problem.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help. Although this thread kinda went a different direction with other people's similar issues, the responses helped me fix my issue. Thanks again.

My was simple. I just had to actual calibrate the X1 channel. I hadn't seen the calibration before I read people talking about it. Yeah, kinda stupid, I know.

Which calibrations?

The X1 calibration. I had done it first thing when setting up the quad. Did both FC/Tx cals. Checked out ok in the assistant. IIRC, the X1 even worked on the bench. Not sure if the compass cal would throw it off, but once outside it was not working. It was stick in the straight down position. The X1 would make it twitch, and sometimes if see it start to go up, but then it would head right back down again.

I redid the assistant cal of the x1 (and all sticks actually) many times, and eventually it worked. Can't recall how many times, but I'd say almost 10.

Its still a little jerky - but now it works as it should for the most part.
