Gem Fan Nylon/Carbon Props: Are the hubs really THIS off balance!?

GemFan props are cheaper since they spend less time balancing and calibrating them at the factory. If you want quality props that are actually factory balanced, I think T-Motor makes some of the best. I found this comparison review between GemFan vs. T-Motor Carbon Fiber props: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CHKGLl00Ks , pretty explanatory.

This is what I would recommend: http://quadcopteruniverse.com/collections/propellers/products/10x3-3

Don't be fooled - even though the T-Motor CF props are balanced, and I pay a lot for their 18 inch props, they still need to be balanced. I may have every sixth one that does not need much balancing, but you need to check them all. I find the hubs are particularly difficult!

Good to know! What's your opinion on T-motor props vs. Gemfans? I've never tried their CF offerings.
I can't speak to this. I did my research and asked around and went to the T-Motor CFs for my heavylift system.

ANYONE else have experience with these two brands?

IMHO and my only experience with a prop break at the hub, was due to repeated over tightening.
There is a mold like on many of the hubs and with repeated crushing by a prop nut I believe this line becomes a weak link.
My only broken prop was right on this line.
Counter opinions welcomed.
