Flying a 7D

when you step up to a full frame dslr that is alot for an AD size frame and a perfect match for something like SkyJib. in dji, that's a s1000, hexacrafter that's an hc1100

the problem is there glass, it's all pretty big and very heavy. GH3 imo is way better for 99% of what we do over 5d. lipo fly longer, less stress on the gear, footage is smoother with a smaller gimbal

Many thanks! I tend to agree with you based on the quality of the GH3 (and possibly upcoming GH4) quality. Would a 680 (which I can get a good deal on) fly the GH3 or should I go with 800 or higher?

800 on 6s, no question

i'll be leasing a few airframes shortly, like camera rentals. Latest greatest stuff built and maintained by myself. if you wanted to try before you buy, or even lease something for a while to make sure it's what you need

You can fly a gh3 with a 680 y6. Run 4014s with 15 inch props and make sure you have strong arms.

we've been flying gh3 under an 800 and decided it's not enough so we just stretched her out even further. worked fine in perfect conditions, but got squirely in wind. 1000mm smooths that right out

I'll buy that. The question now is which 1000? Who makes a good foldable/collapsable 1000?

maybee, i did the x8 thing for a while and just don't benefit for the type of filming we do with the motors down low in frame like they do

1000 is like a skyjib, cinestar, hexacrafter 1100,,,,

Unless you're saying A 680 or 800 are really problematic, I may have to stick with one of them. I doubt I can afford a skyjib or cinestar now.
