F450 - Vibrations with 4s lipo only????

Hi all,

I am a little confused. I have an F450 with Naza M V2 and a Zenmuse h3-3d gimbal and a go pro. It flies totally balanced with my 3s batteries, no vibrations but the flight times are too short. I have just purchased a 5000mah 4s and as soon as I take off the gimbal shakes as do the front landing legs.

It is flying with the standard 9inch self tightening props.

My first thought is balance the props but it flies perfectly with the 3s and the other thought is that the battery is putting the quad out of weight balance so I should locate it in a different place?

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Terry.

your maxing out the power, got anything bigger like 10" prop? It's shifted it's hover throttle, most likely higher. make sure where your mounting it isn't shifting cg, pick it up by two opposing arms and then other two, should sit straight and not try pivoting in the palm

+ what Kloner said. Usually when upping the voltage, (rpm's of the motors) either a change in props, or PID's is required to get back to normal.

i assumed he got heavier....... if the battery was the same weight it may take a smaller prop,,,, but short flight, got a new pack, 4s 5000 mah sounded like it grew

good call, forgot his gains might need adjusting.

Thank you for the replies. I have just checked the battery weight and the difference is quite big. This 4s battery is 200g heavier than the 3s which is a lot. I checked with DJI and they have said that the 9inch props are fine for the 4s but they have said that it is the weight of the battery that is most likely the issue. I will balance the props and locate the battery in a different place and see if that makes any difference. If not I will try the gains.

Thanks
