DJI Motors, Props, and weight?

I want to make a prop order asap but want a little input first and wonder if I need additional parts with the props.
I have a basic DJI F450 with naza+GPS, and the stock DJI 2212 920kv motors. Running a Pulse Ultra 3s 2250mah.
We all know the horror stories about the stock DJI props and I'm going to buy new props but I need help. A gimbal is in route on the slow boat from China and I'll fix a GoPro Hero3 to it.

Are the Graupner and Gemfan 10X5 props too much load for the 920kv motors? Should I run 9X5 Gemfan or even 8X5 Graupners?

Or with the added weight of gimbal and gopro do I really need to look into upgrading my motors already so I can run maybe even 11" props?

I'm flying a DJI f450 naza+gps. I have been running 10x5 DJI props and a 5000mah 3s lipo. I don't have a camera or gimbal installed yet but if flys quite well with this setup. I get somewhere around 10 min flight time before first warning. Motors and battery are cool after flights no matter how hard I push it. I have never had any issues with the props, can't seem to break them, the arms snap off before the prop breaks.

My AUW is just a hair under 1400g (DJI says 1600g max). I didn't have my camera centered perfectly in my test run yesterday so the front motors got hot (not untouchable hot, but hot) The rears stayed cool/warm. I'm going to center the camera more and test again today but what would most folks suggest for a "big motor" upgrade from the DJI 2212 920kv?

hey five, the small airframe makes it so you can only fit 10" props,,, if you get 800 it's a pig and wants to fly 11's, when there pigs there less stable

whats in your avatar? is that a stormtrooper hanging from a pole? whats the disk?

Hey Bord, my sj8 gets in tomorrow,,,,, so stoked

that is if you sticking to 3s........ but even then you want the 900. if 800 was better your rig woulda been engineered for them..... it's nothing new to tweek motor kv for performance/efficiency and dji made the right choice, the motors design just sucks

Yea, that's a stormtrooper hanging off the Naza GPS for a photo-op.

Okay, I get that DJI spec'd their motors for cost, etc. so my main concern is, those T-motors (from a newcomers point of view) seem to be similar motors to the DJI 920's and I don't really want to spend money on more of the same. I know a bigger motor should need a bigger prop and I can't fit anything larger than 10" on this F450 so that's why I'm asking the question, I think...
My AUW is still about 500g inside DJI's max spec for the 450 so maybe I don't need new motors at all, but I wouldn't mind spending the money if it's a sure bet for more efficiency, performance, and reliability. Yes I do plan to stay with 3s batteries also, primarily because that's what I have at the moment and my research hasn't gotten me as far as that yet (I'm still on the props/motors question here :) )
