I had a bit of an incident that am pretty sure just slightly bent the shafts in my 3s flamewheel kit with the black/red dji motors. already replaced the problem motors, but looking at the 2 i pulled off one just needs a shaft. hate to throw away $40 over a $5 part, do they make em or will another brand work? Found the scorpion selection and it seems to have ground down ends to 1/4" for output shaft pinions...... loos like i'm needing 4mmx34mm with a circle clip on one end, the flat on the other end could handle myself if i got that far...... length for that matter doesn't matter as long as it's long enough. would also like to see if i can get the rest of the motors spinning any smoother
on a side note, one of the bells magnet placement caught my eye, 6 of the magnets aren't consistently spaced as all the rest of the magnets, is that a quality control thing or no big deal? noticed these motors out of the box aren't the straightest spinning motors, at an idle you touch a fingernail to em and 1 is smooth as butter, the other 3 that came with it and the 2 i replaced all have an out of round feel. is that usually the shaft or the bell? on the motors that were really bad, i rotated the shafts inside the bell and got a better smoother feel. do guys break out dial indicators to make that as good as possible? doesn't that sound like bent shafts?
Got it filming really clear, just would like to get it as perfect as possible. Doing fpv and the last thing i want is it to change when shes gone doin her thing.
