Difference between flying in GPS to Atti

Hi,

What's the difference between flying in Atti and GPS? I have seen kopterworx have said not to fly in GPS at the min, due to the solar storms. Can anybody elaborate on this? As I'm relatively new to this hobby.

Basically GPS flight mode will provide position hold, ATTI will simply provide autolevelling and in the case of DJI controllers, Altitude hold.
just be aware that when you initialize the FC will establish its home point at that location whether you are in GPS or ATTI mode so if you dont trust your GPS then dont trust your RTH function.
I'm in the UK and I cant say I have noticed any adverse effects from Solar storms but its something I'll look into further now you mention it.
