Great flight. I plugged your data into eCalc and must be doing something wrong. At 10.3kg with your other data points the results say you are 96% throttle to hover. Hope that wasn't the case. Any more data points that you can share or is eCalc that far off?

@ghaynes - Thanks.
Here are plots from the ESC1 and ESC7 CC data logs from the first flight (no rocketing in manual mode, only then it draws 240A).
Seems it takes slightly less than 80% to hover. No margins for brutal manouvers but it felt like ordinary flying would work fine, though of course I could feel it was heavy.
Comparing ESC1 and 7 it seems like motor 1 and 7 does not take equal shares of the loads. I still have not figured out why, I thought the cg was pretty spot on...

These are dropbox links to large size png plot files:

Enjoy :)

ps. I used eCalc to make my first choice of props for my setup. Started out with APC 14x4,7SF. The lift was fine but I had difficulties tuning the WKM, that is why I changed to Xoar wood 14x5. Significant improvement, especially with light disc load and high cg. With increased disc load and lower cg (carrying the camera undercarriage and 4kg sand) I got really stable and smooth.

Very Good work by Tomas and everyone on the forum! Thank You!

Tomas recently notified me that he had been doing some work with the Octocopter and MegaRadius Camera Mount -
He had been filming a new TV commercial in Europe, for the new VW!
