Camera stabilization too slow

When I set up the DJI camera stabilization I end up getting very slow corrections.

For example:

On tilt I have the gain set to about 20% to get the right amount of movement (to keep the camera plate level). This results in very slow corrections.
If I increase gain I can get it respond much quicker but with to large movements.

Any ideas of how to fix this?

Jesper what king of gimbal/servos do you have ? with which voltage your driven your servos ?

I also have this problem, I plan to use a high resolution high speed servo. I have increased the servo update rate in my XA software from default 50Hz to 200Hz, it made a little difference, but still not acceptable for AV. what are you using, Naza or Wookong? I dont think you can update the servo refresh rate in Naza assistant, but I may be wrong.

Boris,

I am using Hitec 7940TH, running 7,4V. 1:5 gear reduction with an external pot. When I set a high gain I will get much quicker movement.

I am using the Wookong-m.

there is tons on the subject posted...

The gain on the wkm software is only for correcting the distance correction on the servos.
As in when it is standing level, tilt the MR over to one side, the campmate should level out, if not adjust the gain to make it level out again.
If the gimbal is to slow in making the correction, bigger cogs, higher voltage(only to servo!!!), different pot meters. but all depends on what servos and gimbal you have.

funny, I just posted this on RCGroups in response to Ken using 5.02 software:

" I really want to know what they mean by optimized gimbal movement as well. If it can speed up the roll axis of my AV130 that would be great. I flew the other day with a friend who has the AV130 hooked up to his XA controller and his roll axis was way faster while still keeping horizon level."

Turns out my tilt comp is fast enough though. Just my roll is slow. I'm willing to consider faster servos and more voltage if I knew for sure it would help.

Yeah, I am the guy with the XA and i can confirm that his av130 was ultra slow in roll, pitch was ok. Mine was set at 50% gains(1-100) and it is plenty fast.
