We just gave up on using stratosnappers as well for commercial work. Simply proving too unreliable. Will take a look at Andrewrobs suggestion but for the moment locking focus to infinity and using Magic Lantern to provide intervalometer and letting the card run through entire flight.

we use gimbals with 360 and seperate gimbal controllers with seperate radios. The gimbal is a llife form of it's own, usually as expensive as whats up top if not more.
