How far from the center of gravity can a NAZA M v2 be safely positioned?

I am building a QAV500 v2 frame and am considering putting my whopping battery on the same deck as my NAZA M v2. This would mean that the NAZA will need to sit forward of the CG. I have read varying opinions about placing a FC anywhere other than at the CG; what are the facts about it...

FPV Racing group forming in northern New Jersey (maybe)

I fly quads, and have joined my local old-school model airplane club. My first quad is set up for AP; not built for the rough-and-tumble of FPV racing. I joined the club because I wanted to have a place to go where I didn't have to wonder if I was going to get booted out by some authority or...

How beat up is too much?

After digging up my lawn a couple of times, one of the props on my quad has taken a beating. The 12" prop is now 11 7/8", and the ends look like this... At the risk of asking a silly question, is this the time to retire this prop? Or can I reasonably get more flights out of it?

I have been looking at this budget-priced 3 axis gimbal but can find NO reviews of it. Anyone know anything? http://www.goodluckbuy.com/g3blg-2-gopro-3-three-axis-brushless-gimbal-for-gopro-camera-aerial-photography.html

    Greetings from northern New Jersey

OK, I have been bitten by the multirotor bug. I have watched many more than enough youtube videos to see that this is something I want to get into. I have been shooting stuff (with a camera) all my life. I have always observed the R/C hobby from a distance, and thought, "that looks like fun...

My first Quadcopter build - your opinion is appreciated

I have been smitten with the multirotor bug. I am planning a build of a quadcopter, and in the meantime await my delivery from HK of a teeny tiny quad, so I can practice basic maneuvering. I am painfully aware that I am a newcomer planning to build and fly an expensive and fragile machine...
