    XAircraft SuperX

My home built quad has Axi 2814 and I am flying it with 5s 5300mah and getting a solid 12 minutes with room to spare. I tried 4s but got about 1-2 minutes less. I am using 11x5 graupners at the moment. This is with FPV gear and gopro with brushless gimbal.

    Sony NEX7 and/or A77.... Anyone using them?

There certainly seem to be plenty of gimbal options out there for the nex. Not so much or the GH3 I am finding unless I use a cinestar style gimbal which is overkill on size. I am building a single operator Y6 with a front mounted brushless gimbal, and there is no way a tube and clamp style...

AMAZING Aerial Freeride Mountain Biking Video from BirdsEyeVideos.com

Can you share what radio you are using and how are you controlling tilt? My futaba only has a ratcheted side slider, so I am looking for options. I am currently building a DIY head tracker to mount to my radio but still waiting in some parts. I'm not sure how well it will work, but worth a shot...

In most cases, you shouldn't have to program SimonK escs. I dd think you need to calibrate the throttle end points.

    Panasonic GH3 Users thread

Yes, I have the Gentled version. It works fine, better than the IR one for my 5d actually. http://www.gentles.ltd.uk/gentwire/focus.htm RCshutter also came out with one as well. http://www.rcshutter.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=97 I fly the Panasonic 20mm pancake on a 3 axis...

Futaba Super 8fg Help getting more channels

Yeah, that is why I use 14 channel receivers on the single operator AP rigs I have with FPV and gimbals. I use 11 channels on my basic fpv quad with only tilt control! :highly_amused:

Futaba Super 8fg Help getting more channels

Ahh, got it. Simple answer is no, you need another receiver or decoder. Here is a quote from ChrisViper "When you use S-Bus (R6208SB) with WooKong, you only have to connect 1 cable...but you can't connect anything else, since the traditional connectors are just mirror channels of the S-Bus, so...

    Hoverfly Pro and GPS boards

I have 4 Hoverfly Pro flight controllers and really only need two for my AP rigs. So thinning the fleet. I am also selling a HF GPS board. All are flashed with the latest firmware and guaranteed to function like new. The HFP is still the BEST flight controller for professional Aerial Photos and...

XAircraft My Xaircraft SuperX Experience and Observations

With my Hoverfly pro I hand launch and land all the time it places it would be impossible to find a surface to take off from. If I had a choice I would be able to arm without the props spinning and then spin when I give throttle. Examples are launching on a river with no flat area, launching on...

Aerial Photo/Video Forums area expanding, suggestions?

Great idea Bart. I am finding I need more technical information relating to AP projects all the time. My last post today was about a DIY head tracker to control an AP gimbal. Not just for basic FPV which is what others use this project for. So it make me thing a technical thread for...

Head tracker on a Transmitter for Camera tilt - DIY options.

DIY- Head tracker on a Transmitter for Camera tilt - DIY options. Who has made a head tracker for gimbal control? And, have you mounted one to your radio instead of on your head? I found this thread about an open source firmware for a DIY solution I am considering...

Sky Hero versus TBS Discovery Pro

You still have a TON of reading to do. If you want to fly a NEX 5 or 7, the Disco Pro will not be the one. I think they are set up for gopro, although you may be able to mount a gimbal under it, but it is not what the design is for. Information on the Sky Hero is limited, you could probably...

When I put in a - expo, the sticks become less sensitive to reaction near center stick. I like soft controles. also, keep in mind that i fly in manual mode when filming. It is a personal preference. I am not sure how you can say expo can't dampen out the movements. When we fly these electronic...
