Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib 8 + Movi+ Toad in the Hole

[I was out flying this afternoon in pretty strong wind and I had time getting it down, thought it was going to tip a few times. I actually "hate" the Movi MR legs, and may go back to the retracts again. Quinton, have you had anymore joy with the MR legs or given up on them? pete

    Sub 7kg with Movi M5

You're right there does need to be a distinguishing limit, my big beastie taking off and flying about is a very different proposition than my wee beastie and there's nothing wrong with the stuff you achieve at sub 7. Things are moving so fast I dare say sub 7 won't be a problem this time next...

    Sub 7kg with Movi M5

Perhaps the ARPAS guys are able to put some pressure on the authorities to lift the 7kg limit, is 7kg just an arbitrary weight or based on some clever maths that 7.5 or 8kg mass has an exponential effect when it hits the dirt?? Promise I'll join ARPAS when I claw back some funds from this...

    Sub 7kg with Movi M5

It does mention in here on the CAA website: http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=1995&pageid=16011 Have to say the CAA is pushing the safety envelope before the tech can produce a good quality camera rig with redundancy at 7kg. It's close but not there yet, 8Kg would do it I think... Pete

The ALL New DJI S900 Hexacopter!

Does look very tight to keep below 7kg, just totted it up using 2x4ah, gh4 and Zen and it came to 6.95kg. Am I right in thinking you can use the same machine in sub 7 config when you need it but go over 7 when it's not a problem? Although I dare say that will still mean airworthiness check will...

I don't know about A2, never used it, but why give yourself the grief. Wookong works so put that on instead and save yourself a few quid too! pete
