I'll be interested to hear how you get on. I've got the kit but think the advantage of being able to use hand held so quickly out weighs the weight saving. Read on the Freefly forum that the wheels cause some issues, extra windage or something. Pete

Hi All, Been looking for some info on this for a while but can't seem to find anything. What are you looking for when a motor is getting close to needing replaced? And same with bearings? Have about 14 hours on my Skyjib so starting to think about what parts (if any) I should replace. Cheers...

That does sound odd. Mine's a flat 8 so they're not directly under a motor. Pete

Depends on your frame but you could pick up a second hand Photohigher AV200 or AV130 servo gimbal pretty cheap I reckon. Which would do the job just fine. Pete

Little update on my "bricked" M5, seems my Mac must have interrupted the update process somehow with power saver, screen did dip it's brightness during update so that must have been it. This results in needing a jumper cable to allow the process to restart. So worth making sure any power saving...

Just a wee warning to make sure you don't need to use the gimbal soon when you come to update the firmware. I attempted to do it today and the gimbal is now dead as a dead duck... Using the new mac version of the config app it hung during the update and showed no progress for around half an...

Just me out this morning hence the rather poor composition of some of the shots.... I've found you have to reduce the stiffness settings quite a bit from what you can use handheld and I've got the pan smoothness much higher than you would use handheld and I've noticed a bit of roll adjustment...

Hi Sleepy, 1080p 50fps 100Mbps, Vivid setting on aperture priority set at 5.6. Using a Olympus 12mm which really should have had a ND filter. Windless day which is rare around here. Been battling with an AV200 for too long so the M5 is a breath of fresh air, it just works... Pete

You're right Buzz they are looking for the altitude it can fly at rather than just 400' above agl. Just how you go about finding that out is another question. Lots of variables. Pete
