Zero UAV Zero UAV YS-X6 [Owners Thread] *Autopilot system for multirotors*

Hi Thaba, I just uploaded a video that shows how to calibrate the ESCs/throttle. Hope it helps. Should be uploaded in about 10 minutes. http://youtu.be/igP4sWhKX2w

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

I saw on RCGroups that Zero has released a new ground station (GCS?) download. Maybe it is the fix for some of the issues raised here. Unfortunately, the language they use when announcing the release is inconsistent with what they have for downloads on their site and I am not sure what should...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Julian, I sent you the full dialog I had with Peter at Zero. Sounds like you are having the exact same issues I had. Hopefully you will be able to save yourself lots of time by reading through the log. I believe he also told me which tap has the info on version FW loaded. Let me know how you...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Julian, the only other thing I can think of is to be sure you downloaded the correct firmware. The basic YS-X6 firmware does all kinds of weird things to the Steadi470 - I worked with Peter for many hours only to find out I was working with the wrong firmware. Zero didn't seem to differentiate...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Hi Julian, I had the exact same issue as you. I did finally get the gimbal to calibrate correctly but I believe the behavior didn't really make sense. If I recall correctly, each time I went through calibration I needed to totally exit (close out) the gcs. If I didn't do that each time ANY...

Zero UAV Zero UAV YS-X6 [Owners Thread] *Autopilot system for multirotors*

Hasn't arrived yet. Planning to install the YS-X6 on it. Not a lot of real estate on the frame for such a large FC - so I might have to modify the platform a bit. Everything I have seen with this frame looks promising. I kind of like the idea of buying from the original guy who basically...

Zero UAV Zero UAV YS-X6 [Owners Thread] *Autopilot system for multirotors*

Update for anyone who might benefit from my stupidity! I had mismarked my motor/esc connectors and simply had two of them plugged in to the wrong assignment. Flipped those and everything works fine now. Now just wait for the wind to die down and try a test flight.

Zero UAV Zero UAV YS-X6 [Owners Thread] *Autopilot system for multirotors*

Anyone know what might be causing my elevator and aileron to be crossed? I am using the bus interface from FC to FySky receiver. I had this exact same configuration set up on a Steadi470 and it was fine. I have moved the YS-X6 to another quad that I am testing and have this issue. Everything...

    Ecilop Easy

Just purchased the Ecilop Easy. I went through the assembly manual but was wondering if there is a assembly video out there somewhere. Was not able to find anything when I searched. I have assembled the Steadi470 and a number of "standard" quads/hex's and gimbals but not this particular one...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Ordered the ecilop today. Hopefully the manual will be pretty straight forward. Plan on using the motors, servos, escs, and ys-x6 fc on it. Should be interesting. Ill check in from time to time.

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

i think zero did an exact copy a few versions ago. You can see the 3rd servo mount on the zero gimbal that ecilop discarded in later versions after he realized that tilting the camera changed the center of balance.

Yes, i do have a concern about spare parts and speed of delivery. I have done business with foxtech and they are pretty good. I need to check out some raw video on youtube from independent source though. I also like the idea of buying the original eclope. The guy put a lot of thought into...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Yes, the glyder 600 or Ecilop (this is the original that zero copied). Both of these are less $ than just the replacement parts i need. Zero will not sell complete frame less electronics. Probably decide which one next week. I like the concept zero and these other frames use so will.continue...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Thought I would "report" in regarding replacement parts from zero. Looks like I will be purchasing either eclope or foxtech since the parts i need with shipping comes to over $400!!! I need to replace the gimbal square frame without servos, center frame, one motor mount and rubber shock...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Hey Guys, Need some help on the FC. I mounted everything on my test quad but having some issues. I am getting a solid blue light from the led - couldn't find a reference to that in the manual??? I am also getting a change of state in the vibration status (when static) flashing from the...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

I took a look at your video - the picture looked pretty good but the frame looked like it was all over the place. From your description, I wasn't sure what you did - add a second gimbal(?) or a 3rd servo? I know that there was some discussion regarding the 3rd servo throwing off the balance of...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

The damage is pretty extensive. Surprisingly, most of the actual gimbal survived but the supporting frame (were the one servo is mounted) is bent. All the arm supports broke which is surprising - they should probably do what they did on the landing gear supports and double them up. The...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Hi Rob, So far, I haven't been able to work anything out with Zero other than purchasing a complete kit with electronics! That would be far too expensive for me. I wrote them back to let them know most manufacturers do sell spare parts in case of mishaps. Hopefully, they will get back to me...
