I'm awaiting the arrival of an rc timer gimbal, the price made it worth a punt.
do like the 'from above' gimbal, but for my money the lens should be centred along the roll axis - doesn't look like that will be possible unless the rear tube is longer. Would also probably mean adding some slight...
keep an eye on flyduino. i missed stock 2 weekends ago, but managed to get one when they listed more this last weekend.
they were in stock for less than a day…
Is there any indication of price for us existing 'fully loaded' (s800, zen gh2, big lipo pack) owners?
I've had my set-up for a few months but the well documented issues many of us have experienced have kept me from flying it.
I couldn't get on with the supplied glasses so i cut a hole in an Oakley Radar G30 "range" lens and use the PirateEye with the Oakleys - works great.
The lens tint is good for nearly all conditions - but considering a transitions lens, when i'm feeling rich.
Making a DIY lens meant i could...
I had issue initially, with the yaw channel, but if you switch everything off, then back on it 'should' behave - which is what mine did.
you might need to use a jeti box to change the RSat settings to 8 channel ppm.
I had this problem.
Using wire strippers i removed the outer covering then used a the wire cutters to reduce the inner to an XT60 friendly size. I then made sure that the inner was completely tinned (deep into the cable) and then soldered it to the XT60.
The S800 isn't drawing huge amps, so...
Dave, there's a third party mac utility which 'should' be able to get some files off that card…
There's also a utility for checking how genuine sdcards are. Fakes are very difficult to spot as they come in identical packaging to real ones.
An f550 is a reasonable size/weight, so it's a case of thinking about the worst case scenarios - flyaway, loss of a motor, loss of orientation etc
Next job is to put systems and procedures in place to help mitigate the risks and fall out associated with something going wrong.
Simple stuff...
Until now, i've not used the WKM built-in battery monitoring functions - relying instead on balance cable lipo monitors, but for various reasons want to use the WKM voltage monitor now.
Are the default values supplied by the assistant (23.10v - 0v = 23.1v and 22.20v - 0v = 22.2v) ok/safe to...
A UHF system will significantly increase your range.
It's a matter of making a cable which connects to the DX8 output and the EzUHF input.
I made one with a good quality s-video cable.
You will also need a 3cell lipo pack to power the EzUHF, which can be held on the back of the DX8 with...
IMHO i think trying to get a reliable 2km from any 2.4g radio might be a big ask.
I've seen a futaba radio glitch into failsafe at 500m before now and i wouldn't trust my DX8 at more than 400m.
Definitely DON'T fly until you loose a signal - disaster and trouble live down that road.
If you...
Are you sure your DX8 is 5.8gHz - i don't think i've ever seen an RC radio on 5.8 - Vtx yes, but not radio control.
I have a DX8 too and went down the "i must switch to futaba" road.
My next comments are purely subjective, but i bought a 10C and then a 12FG and to be honest, for the money i...
I have an APM and those tiger motors in my spares box, if I place a frame only order would you supply the APM settings you use?
Also a question about those motors, I think they're great, but had lots of issues (along with many others) with them/the esc's loosing timing. How have you addressed...
Wonder if anyone can help with this?
I've just paired up an rsat2 and connected it up to a dji naza FC.
I set up a new model on the dc-16 and assigned functions and servos. Everything on the radio output looks correct.
I fired up the naza assistant and set it to ppm receiver type. All...
this can happen if the Vtx and Vrx are not on the same channel, but on a pair of channels which are close enough to get a picture.
with everything plugged in, try cycling through the Vtx channels…
You can do this with a Jeti dc-16 radio.
i have the 16channels shared between two R9 receivers, which are set up in a 'master and clone' configuration.
the master receiver handles the flying controls, the clone receiver is connected to the gimbal.
