    Mikrokopter Is mikrokopter finished??

Nope! I didn't know what weight you were flying but I see now it is an SJ8, so now I see your need for something besides the BL's.

    Mikrokopter Is mikrokopter finished??

I have ordered everything pre-soldered so that saves a lot of time and stress. I rather spend the money to know that someone else did it right. And then if it is broken or breaks shortly thereafter I just send it back. I had an issue with a bl-ctrl going bad on an okto xl pdb and I sent it back...

    Mikrokopter Is mikrokopter finished??

Have you compared MK Bl-crtl's with the converter board/reg ESC's. Mine flew with the converter/reg ESC's but was very sloppy. Changed to BL-crtl's and it was perfect. I was flying at a weight around 3kg. Just my experience.

    Mikrokopter Is mikrokopter finished??

I'll just throw in that I am a happy MK user too. Although I wish there was a different solution (=more economical) to the ESC situation. I have tried the converter for using regular ESC's and it was a huge waste of time. All GPS functions work great and so does altitude hold. I can attest...

    Autoquad 6 FC users?

Hey Boris, Thanks a bunch for that. I am really intrigued by this FC! There are just so many features that folks seem to be having good to great success with. What do you think your altitude hold issues are? The calibration process is what seems really intimidating to me. I think I am going to...

    Autoquad 6 FC users?

Just curious how many are using or have tried out the Autoquad 6 flight controller? Would love some opinions on ease of setup and use, primarily compared with MK. It looks like it has a ton of potential, especially for waypoint navigation and autonomous flight features. Thanks, Shawn

Anyone interested in buying our HF Pro boards?

Yep, its a shame because it is the smoothest flying and easiest to setup flight controller I have used. I strongly recommend Hoverfly for anyone wanting ease of use and very smooth flying, just not waypoint navigation (at least at this time).

Anyone interested in buying our HF Pro boards?

I know I would be flying HFP if they had waypoint navigation and a gps that held within a meter or so like I get on my MK's. Seems to me they are missing a decent size of the market by not offerring these features.

    Hoverfly Hoverfly GPS, another approach

Be careful using GPS around places like this (buildings and other structures) because they can generate multi-path interference. It can cause your GPS to think it is somewhere it is not, which is not a good thing when flying. I don't know much about GPS antennas used on our multi's but for...

multirotor for agroforests in Lao PDR

Thanks, Dave! I just read the article. Richard, did you contribute to this article? I searched for your name but nothing came up. Curious if you were involved. It's the articles like that one which keep me skeptical about whether what I want to do can become reality or not. Right now keeping...

multirotor for agroforests in Lao PDR

Richard, As far as what I would get to start is a bit of personal preference. I have flown most of the major flight controllers except DJI stuff. Because MK has served me the best and has ALL the features I want and need that is what I have stuck with. Yes it has a steep learning curve, is very...

multirotor for agroforests in Lao PDR

Hey Dave, I've mostly been lurking here lately. About all I have time for these days. Finally finished the phd in August and started a new job at the university in september. Still working a federal field job too dealing with endangered species and post wildfire recovery efforts. All that and a...

multirotor for agroforests in Lao PDR

Here is a good example article for those interested in the use of MR's for biological/forestry work: Development of a UAV-LiDAR System with Application to Forest InventoryI too am trying to get into this line of work but have been experiencing funding difficulties for what I want to do. But it...

    Aeronavics / Droidworx Turning the XM6 into a Y6?

Check out Bartman's. I fly one too and they are really nice. You just don't use the front and rear arms of a hex and make the remaining 4 coax. I know they work with HFP and MK FC's.

AerialMediaPros.com Couldn't be happier! Aerial Media Pros Strongly Recommended.

I just wanted to jump in and second the recommendation of Patrick and Aerial Media Pros. Patrick has provided me with top notch customer service for a product I bought from another vendor who fell short in my opinion. Incredible!! I hope to be in the market soon for another gimbal and I will be...

Mikrokopter Mikrokopter GPS & NAVI TIPs

FWIW - I have flown in Ecuador about 60km south of the equator from 190-3000+m elevation with the GPS/Navi on top of the stack and had no GPS problems.
