    Camera gimbal stabilisation system

George is a lovely straight guy who will do everything he can for you. His product has to try and deal with a lot of variable issues that are beyond his control. He must be under considerable stress as he also has a very demanding full time job.

    Camera gimbal stabilisation system

Because you have made the wrong assumption that where and how you mount the imu has no bearing, I will once again say it. it is the fundamental element in how inner axis systems work. when I get unsavory remarks from people the first thing I do is research their work, if it is typical amatuer...

    Camera gimbal stabilisation system

I am not trying to make any point just explaining why a AHRS system strapped to the camera mount wont work properly If you cannot work out WHY from what I have told you then there is not much hope for you. It was low budget dirt bag comments like that which stopped my posting this stuff two...

    Camera gimbal stabilisation system

If you create a second outer axis then your imu will need a feedback loop to deal with all of the **** that comes back from the mount itself. I am not going further than that. This not just an electronics solution.

    Camera gimbal stabilisation system

do I have to spell' it out. making a second outer axis is a no brainer. I thought that this might be a little beyond the average modeler to grasp. I am not going to get dragged into details of how it works.

    Camera gimbal stabilisation system

I have been enjoying the pleasure of sub .005 stsbiliased camera resolution for about two and a half years. I have on a few occasions had to bite my lip because the value of such a device is clearly very evident, however my new online book will describe how it is done. It is actually quite...

    Wookong down!

I do have what I believe is the answer to this problem. I am going to start a blog with some extracts from my online book "All you ever wanted to know about MR's" There are two main scenarios that can cause a departure. A departure is when the model stops a reaction to the computerized flight...

    Coming soon Zenmuse gimbal

The size and quality of small cameras is getting better by the day. It is a no brainer to be trying to lift a 5D with full telemetry by anything other than a helicopter. TRex 700 with 830 asym. blades like Tabb has is the way to go. if you want reasonable safe flight times and Ace one. The rest...

That is quite a contraption to only be able to carry a Nex!!! It should be weighing about 3 Kilos not 5.5.

Getting people to manufacture electronics is a nightmare. I really am tearing my hair out.

    Is size important.

The reason is simple, Cineflex is a five axis system which means that two of the axis are duplicated as an inner high sensitivity separate system. In our model that outer axis is the model itself. I have had such a system for the last two years but it is too expensive and heavy for model use...

Y6 vs X8 octa. Which is better for smooth video recording and redundancy?

One also has to take into consideration the type of image that is being seen in the goggles. If the camera is solidly mounted then it's no problem, its like flying a real aircraft, but if it is stabilized in three axis then it can be difficult because you don't see the bank or the heading and...

    Is size important.

I suppose that the recently announced AR Drone 2 with internal HD camera and supposedly amazing quality will also turn a few heads. Everyone is going to be an aerial pro-shooter before long!!!! How can anyone compete against that price. It almost makes em a disposable item. 299 USD ready to go?

    Is size important.

Yes I know, if your wife told you it wasn't, she lied. But seriously TED Talks speaker Vijay Kumar explains why smaller is more agile and we also know that agility = stability. For the mathematically challenged he explains it quite well. It is worth watching...

Interesting approach with the WKM as FC

I think what is nice about that design is the way that most of the lift generated is used to lift the machine from the center and the stabilizing is done by smaller high reving motors. I doubt that it is very efficient on battery life but good stability. Might have been better with just three...

Keep your hair on buddy it's nothing personal just my view as a Director of Aerial Filming. End of story, but FWIW this is the best aerial camera system that has ever been made. When John Coyle sold off Cineflex to Axis technology he moved to NZ and started up again. I think you won't find...

    GoPro have some serious opposition

Jes when I look back over 35 years as a pro aerial shooter I can say that I have owned just about every top of the line Canon ever made. In fact I was still using 6x7 film until about 4 years ago for large images. I suppose I can count on one hand the number of times in one year that I really...

    WooKong-M CX4 Crash

I think it is an ESC programming problem, what timing are you using? sounded like a motor stopped phasing. Check your motors again on the ground. Keep opening and closing the throttle fast and see if one stops, It will let out a squeal when this happens. You probably need high or medium timing.
