    Strange

OK, I updated to the new Firmware (not bad looks pretty good) and set up the naza from scratch again. Love that I can choose the Hz for the servos. I also checked the F550 carefully and everything looks mechanically okay. Motors are all even, no bends or twists in any of the arms, every thing...

    Strange

Hi Guys, Here's a strange one.:dejection: My F550 is very stable. When I'm in GPS mode it holds tight and solid. When I fly forward it fly straight. So far so good, right?:nevreness: Well here's the thing, I flew it tonight, wind at 0Km, GPS mode held tight, but when I was in Attitude I...

In that case you offer to fly around to scope out new areas of possible interest. Topography and land forms spotted from a multirotor could give clue to where to continue the investigation.

All I'm saying is stay in contact and make yourself the go to guy. You don't know if the kite people are looking at multirotors or if he will meet a another multirotor guy at some kind of event or something. You want to be the go-to-guy. You have an advantage over the present situation, but you...

Stay in constant contact with them throughout the year. Someone else could swoop in during the off-season. They might have other digs elsewhere.

pirouette in loiter mode = some drift

Oh, I guess I'm in the spec tolerances then. I'd say it drifts about 1 to 1.5 meters. I guess I was hoping to have it stay put and then be able to spin it as thought it was on a pole. I guess I'm asking too much. :pig:

pirouette in loiter mode = some drift

Hey guys, Anyone finding that when you are in loiter mode and you do a pirouette you find that craft drifts a little? I thought that I could stick in loiter and it would stay at the single spot and not move at all when I pirouette. Could I have missed something in the setup?

Still sharpening my teeth and trying to find cool places to fly.

Hey all, I'm still gaining confidence to go higher and further. I decided to fly around this new development and at least I can add some cool music.

NAZA prop broke and landed in pond

That's also a good idea. I like it. I didn't go down that road because I thought the prop nut holes did not go deep enough.

NAZA prop broke and landed in pond

Also, I'm not sure you need to counter sink the holes in the prop nuts/spinners. Personally I used washers that sit between the top of the motor and the bottom of the prop hub. The reason for this is the hight of the prop hub on the Graupner props is not as high as the hub on the DJI props...

NAZA prop broke and landed in pond

"Reef on the nuts" is from me, so I'll answer it. In this case "reef on" means to pull or tighten with the upmost strength and power one can muster. In short: Tighten the nuts as hard as you can.

NAZA prop broke and landed in pond

I basically did the same thing and I've reefed on the nuts. I my props don't slip at all. I hope the guy that lost his F550 in the Gator pond can get compensated some how. What a horrible story.

NAZA prop broke and landed in pond

This is a heart braking story. I thought the F550 had some kind of firmware update that was supposed to make the F550 redundant in the event of a prop/motor loss. I thought that if it losses a one prop/motor the other arms are supposed to compensate for a safe landing. When I bought my F550 I...

Hobby partz won't ship my battery order.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that. I never did like dealing with Hobby Partz, I found them to be sneaky, such as trying to cancel an order and then hearing 3 or 4 days later that it had been shipped to only get an Email one hour after it was shipped that I can't cancel my order because it...
