    Aerial Ingredients: Lighting

Good point! It has been helpful to put what we've learned into words - makes it more concrete. And it makes me think about how we can elevate our work further. The shot you mentioned, the teenagers running into the ocean with the little dog, is one of my all time favorites. I love that...

More articles on the way. They take time, but I'd like to think they're worth it. Just trying to share what we've learned so it doesn't go to waste.

    Aerial Ingredients: Lighting

Thanks, Benjamin! The weather can certainly make a shoot challenging at times. We had a shoot on St. Kitts once that was super windy - way more than normal. We worked with it and finished with great footage, but at one point we had to take a long break along with the rest of the crew. They...

    Aerial Ingredients: Lighting

In the effort to share some of the lessons we've learned in aerial filming, I've posted a short article on "lighting" on our website. I've got a few more similar articles in the works, and I'll post them as time allows. I hope the content ifs helpful. I'd encourage you to comment here, and...

    $30K Mistake

Read this with a sense of humor: In the lawn maintenance industry, there's a terrible menace afoot - the weed whacker. In the right hands this powerful machine can edge the finest yard. But in the wrong hands it can bloody a toe or cut down a tulip. The government must come down hard on this...

Recommend a charging station for me!

We've been using a setup from Progressive RC as well. Love it. Have definitely "battle tested" that piece of gear.

Let's hear form the experts on long distance transmitter and video equipment.

I haven't dug into the long range stuff a lot, but I do know that there are a lot of factors that can effect range, so most companies in this hobby might be wary of publishing distances. Kloner is into the long range stuff I believe - he'd be a good resource.

The next rig for Yonder Blue Films - "Less Is More"

Sorry I haven't made any updates in the past week. We've been neck deep in a couple of projects. Had a lot of fun working on a car commercial that should start airing in April. We've been doing a lot of digging into the various options mentioned for our next aerial rig. Hope to have more to...

The next rig for Yonder Blue Films - "Less Is More"

That's good news. The M10 is pretty easy to balance (compared to the competition). If they improve upon that, that will be great.
