FPV Racing....Spec Course for Spec Class

Heres a life lesson one thing I have learnt...more than 3 people can not decide where to go for lunch. We set out the motor rules over at rotorcrossnz yesterday - 35 members in the group - I had 50 odd arguments, people coming up with all sorts of alternitives, complex calculations, to...

FPV Racing....Spec Course for Spec Class

its the plastic sheet they make for-sale signs out of, you can buy it in 8 by 4 ft sheets for not much http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrugated_plastic those arrows I made, could be a bit bigger, I only had 12 and more would be better. Was thinking the tarps to make the verticle flags , as the...

Micro Camera Quad Review F803C and M62R from Gearbest

Disclaimer – these micro quads were provided to me at no cost to review. A while ago, chatting on facebook with Gary Mortimer (sUAS News Editor) we were discussing the future of multirotors used for photography, and Garys opinion was that they would get smaller, and you would carry several...

FPV Racing....Spec Course for Spec Class

we ran 4 lap heats and a 5 lap final average lap time about 34 seconds, 5 time 34 = 2 minutes 50 for the final I dont think you would want to race any longer, you end up with too many droping out and it becoming a 2 horse race , so your 3 minute target is on the money you need large arrows on...

Group Build 2015, FPV Racing Quad

diagonally , the frames seem to range from 220 to 260 mm, its whatever fits all your gear and 5" props :) I reckon a new frame design would be the go, all the ones out there (apart from a couple of nice carbon boom ones) look like they came from the same cookie cutter. I reckon a body shell is...

Group Build 2015, FPV Racing Quad

the 250 size is popular, we did a "spec" class race on Jan 3rd (actually did 10 races, made a day of it :) ) Spec class is 250 sized, 2300 kv motors max, 5" prop , 4 motors max (you can run 3 as a tricopter) and 3S lipo very even playing field , in the final around a 400 meter track for 5...

Reboot the heart emergency response Y6

360 joules to defib a heart 1 joule = 1 watt for 1 second - i think the lipo can handle it :) Modern AED devices step the non-educated user thru all the steps required

What do you guys do ? Situation, get home from work, have a perfect opportunity to pop out for a quick 1/2 hr fly/photo op (weather clears, kids behave etc) but its at least 45 mins to charge the lipo etc - opportunity lost. or Driving to work/for work , and suddenly see something you want to...

    any tips on photographing sites

well, i imported all 192 photos into goprostudio, and it treated them like a time lapse movie I guess, as it allowed me to apply the fish eye removal. I guess I would need to screen grab afterwards to get the individuals back out I have used photoshop before for fish eye removal, its a more...
