I am afraid to maiden my new S800 EVO

Hi guys....sorry, didn't catch up As for the IMU v2, I don't get the policy of DJI.....with every move they make with theyr "brilliant" marketing, they put off more and more customers. Found a few places where they offer them for the "trade-in" price, on some it's mentioned about the...

S800 Major Crash - The spin of death

Did you solder something on the motors/ESC's ? This solderpoints are thin like paper, and if you don't watch out and soldering is too hot, they come off the circuit board together with the motor wire and the solder. Chris

    WooKong-M Manual

DJI is more and more loosing their mind......I guess the manual is being replaced by the video tutorials + Quick-Start guide....most stupid thing ever.....and as usual, they didn't annouce that anywhere. This is called "being innovative"......What's now if you are in the field and want to look...

OSD I got already....Data Link sounds great, judging from your pics it looks super simple to operate.....I guess slowly DJI will have to reconsider their policies :tennis: Chris

S800 clean build tips and info

Hi Lance You obviously also have to disconnect the power connectors for the Zenmuse and the retracts, also the Zenmuse from the CAN-Bus system. It depends.....if you want to switch between Zenmuse camera and any FPV camera, you can do that with the iOSD and your Transmitter / additional...

I am afraid to maiden my new S800 EVO

Hi Louis If you read the whole thread (http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?12396-S800-clean-build-tips-and-info&p=115299&viewfull=1#post115299), the antenna cover and the sleeving are covered there....somewhere It's not the only the metal case, apperantely they also changed...

I am afraid to maiden my new S800 EVO

Hi Louis Technical: Since the EVO features the vibration dampening system, it wouldn't make any sense to mount the IMU directly to the frame....mount it to that IMU - plate....you can mount it on the back of the copter (like to see on all DJI photos), but you can mount the plate/IMU to the...

    Understanding Lithium Polymer batteries

Parallel charging is possible, but it's just plain nonsens. In order to work, all LiPo's have to be the same voltage and should be more or less in the same state of discharge....how practicle is that in real-life ? We had already a thread about that...

    First flight video: Frankfurt

Looking good...... .....love the descripion on your YouTube channel: " GoPro HD Hero on a cheapo servo gimbal, stabilized with a kitchen sponge and zip ties......" :tennis: You got lots of talent, just need a more "advanced" gimbal..... Chris

    Told to move along...

Sorry if it sounded like, but by it was by no means aginst you personally.....I just get more and more the feeling that we all transform slowly into rabbits who just wait what stupid law they throw next at us, just to obey it without any questioning. The lastest thing in America with Ed Snowden...

Things They Do Not Tell You

Well...thats true. One important field is already covered here...LiPo batteries......Bart wrote up a very comprehensive guide about LiPo's: http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?12819-Understanding-Lithium-Polymer-batteries With that, all your LiPo related questions should be...

    Looking for Recommendation:

Your "draining" might be related to: ESC with 12A is much too low....you need at least 20A, better would be 30A LiPo batteries should have a minimum fo 20C ~ 25C Your motors are layed out for 3S max....to be more efficient with your weight I would go for 4S + matching motor. There is...

    Told to move along...

When I was a youngster (grown up in Austria) we all wanted to go to America or Australia one day.....the land of the free and the endless opportunities. Thank god I didn't..... ....but Europe is not any better. How come a silly council worker can make you feel afraid of anything ? A guy who...

Things They Do Not Tell You

Hi Chris ....the moment we would write a book, it would be outdated the same day it is published.....things are changing almost every day. :tennis: I guess you are sitting already on needles to get your hands onto that beauty. In case Ken didn't tell you already, it might be a good idea to...

S800 Major Crash - The spin of death

+1....best thing to do. Contacting DJI directly is the same as trying to walk on water. If someone can help, it's the dealer (unfortunately mostly very limited in case of crashes / failures). People running for the cheap and buying directly from Asia or any no-name web-shops are usually really...

    Sony Nex-5n - downlink

Couldn't see from your post that you are using the HDMI2AV board.....the USB-connector on that board is just for powering the board....doesn't work without power (I think it's 5V or 5,5 V) Glad you could sort it out. Chris
