ah-ha! you have to have the TX in GPS mode for it to lock onto satellites? I did not know that. I kind of figured if you are connected to a GPS, it hooks up to satellites and it doesn't matter what mode you are in -- gps, attitude or M -- but only in gps mode would the gps actually work...
