    Datalink 900MHz vs 2.4GHz

If you have no need of distance you should use the 2.4ghz because it is only 20g as opposed to the 90g for the 900mhz. I have just installed the 2.4mhz system so have to learn how it all works. DJI GS is not intuitive at all.

    Datalink 900MHz vs 2.4GHz

Nigel, You are correct 900mhz is used by Vodaphone so it would be illegal to even switch one on within the British Isles. However, the 2.4mhz is legal but not at the power output of 130mW is 30mW above the maximum power output permitted, so is also illegal but no one appears to be making a...

You can run your EZOSD with 4S if you use the voltage sensor because it regulates the voltage for both EZOSD and TX. As far as using Graupner 10" props you may find difficulty getting them as Graupner went into Liquidation in April so what stock people have is all there is until or if someone...

DJI Big SALE everywhere....??? Give-away party for a reason.....

The only thing that worries me about the WKM is that they have just released the V2 IMU just before the Evo, which I am told is the same but in a metal case to combat the disruption to the delicate pressure sensors caused by certain wind conditions. Although it is not available in the UK yet I...

Texas HB 912 Passes out of House. Ban image capture by Unmanned Aircraft

Sounds like a great place to live if you are related to Attila the Hun, very rich or even a little crazy. Here in the UK we do envy your wide open spaces and weather but if the politics are that bad and as easily bought it must be even worse than it is here.....

The instruction to the driver issues with M$7 are HERE They are on the one above the one you describe on the support & download page HERE I know the driver issue should not apply to XP but it may be that in your case it does. If the drivers do not work try downloading the latest drivers...

DJI Big SALE everywhere....??? Give-away party for a reason.....

Or you could look at it a different way. This is the time to buy the WKM, S800 etc.. A well tested and reasonably steady system beyond the means of most until now. The poor suckers who buy the new Evo stuff will end up being unpaid Beta testers just like so many other Chinese products...

The error you are getting is no connection to the board. I kept getting that too but with M$7 so followed Rob's instructions to the letter, step by step and it worked. Even though you are using XP it may be worth following Rob's instructions and then try again in XP.

Texas HB 912 Passes out of House. Ban image capture by Unmanned Aircraft

Her in the UK it is legal and is legislated already governed by the CAA and the BMFA. However, I had a neighbour accusing me of being a 'Nonce' for filming another neighbour's children from my 'Spy Drone'... He became quite aggressive and threatened to come round and smash my machine and me...

Best way to cut CF booms?

Ceramic wet tile cutter is the best option.... Besides I have 3 in the garage: my son is a commercial floor tiler. The cut is also perfect with no splintering. If you don't have one get a local tradesman and I have no doubt they would do it for minimal costs, if any.

I think some are worried that the flimsiness means it is not tough but that is strength.. It is flexible and yes it can break but in the process absorbs most of the impact. Ever heard of a crumple zone on a car. That is exactly how I see it working.

    Quadcopter racing

Bit like a monster sports car or F1 race car..... all engine, fuel and wheels and little left for the driver. I suppose that if there is no issue with the props it becomes a test of how much thrust can I put down and how little weight can I make the frame...... Then the problem with IMUs can...

is there a bug in in firmware 3.12 voltage monitor

Deanalot - exactly what I use. but I use it along with the NAZA voltage system. I use 3s 6600ma Lipos and set the first NAZA level quite high, 11.8v, so you get more warning and the auto land very low 9.9v with a load drop of .8v. This sets the two levels at 11v and 9.1v under load. I...

    Aeroxcraft Brushless Gopro Gimbal

Jimska, No the orignial gimbals were shipped with firmware BruGi_049B_r48 but if you upgrade, as I did, to BruGi_049B_r61 it works with 180 degree pitch. E-mail Rob and ask if the new firmware will be included in the later ones. I suspect that it will not be until Rob is satisfied with...

I think you are right. But there was only a 30 degree pitch available, which is why I have loaded 61. I haven't tested it in flight but it looks smooth when played with in my shed.

Well uploaded the firmwere BruGi_049B_r61 and set everything as Rob suggests but limited the pitch to -10 and 90 because the last thing I want to see in shots are my props and mounting. It appears to work well but will not fly today as the wind here is varying from 15-27mph. I also left it on...
