I completely disagree with you on this Dave. I think its a complete rip off to be honest & if anything will encourage more people to fly without any sort...
MR are so different to anything else you can fly. More like a heli than a fixed wing aircraft. For starters they are self levelling or should I say..supposed to be ;)

Sounds like the TX & RX are not compatable! I could be wrong of course. My first choice would be to get a 4 pole 2.5mm plug (to fit the gopro). Solder the video & earth onto the plug & try it straight into a TV set. Then via the TX to make sure thats working ok. Can you put a multi meter on the...
I live on the coast so 80% of my flying is over water. Just think positive...think to yourself its solid ground & you will be fine. My 2nd & 3rd flights with my Droidworx SJ8 with full camera gear was over a river!

My advice is NOT to use SMA connectors as they loose power, as much as 3Db...roughly half your available power! Better to change the connector on the end to fit what it needs to mate with.

Looking good mate. As for the motors...yep its a royal pain in the A**E, I ended up sawing 10 shafts...naffed 2 motors in the process (grub screw sheared).
