Very true, the cheapos are gettign better every month. The only draw back is that if you get a really wicked photo, its hard to blow up jpg's without losing serious quality, hence why I always shoot on RAW, at least I can scale it up 600% with hardly any loss of quality, especially when I print...

I do remember MombasaFlash & I know how frustrating things can be, I have a wedding to shoot at the end of May, might even take the octo as it's a good friends wedding (mates rates). I much prefer this shot of the chateau.....maybe a touch more altitude, nut I'm very picky like that ;) ;)...

My cam op uses a DX7, its great because you can programe so much for your gimbal. You can never have to many channels ;) Ross

Terry if you are using any closed loop aerial, that resistor must be taken off. A closed loop aerial is a DC short circuit, but not to RF (AC). Ross

Bart, I'm with plingboot on this, have a word with Alex (IBCrazy) on fpvlabs, he is well switched on. My mrs uses a 5.8GHz video downlink, its 250mW running into a rubber duck (standard aerial supplied) & we have flown 500+ft with her still being able to see ok. Ross

Jack, I'm at the exact same position as you, but I've never flown FPV properly before. But from what I've seen, the secret is to get it up off the deck quite quickly & then slowly fly about. Ross
