I think he was OK @ 200' but when he decended to 40' he was pressing his luck. Still, they should have ignored it and kept working. They are professionals.

I put mine thru some significant load tests today. Hex u7/t80a. AUW 15.5kg. There were 2 esc's hotter than the rest with the hottest being 156F. The other 4 were 132F or less. Motors were cool as a cucumber.

I got them too. 2-3 layers of heat shrink tubing on that area. Heat shrink it right around the corner. Then if you ever have this happen it will still hold together.
