Seems to me according to eCalc extensive evaluation you would want to use 15 inch 5.5 pitch CF props for hex and octocopters by Cinestar for optimum airtime with significant payloads but then so much depends on the weight of the batteries plus payload.
Price reduced AGAIN....... A very serious contender to the DJI A2. NIB - new in box item for my latest Cinestar Hex project which i abandoned....

This is a complete aerial video Octocopter system that is ready to fly. I will sell all for $7000 or best offer..... paid much more. It was fully flight tested, i.e., only 12 flights but I was not able to resolve the Yaw axis issues on the 3 axis gimbal system using the GoPro camera...
6 NIB motors to sell and additional same motors if you need more for an Octocopter. The additional ones were flight tested less than 12 test flights for 3-axis aerial photo video system with no crashes..... so effectively new....
These are six NIB - new in box T-motors, Navigator series MN4012-11 400KV. These are ideally suited for a Hexacopter and/or Octocopter such as the Cinestars for aerial photo/video work or heavy lifting. These work great with the 15 inch 5.5 pitch props as per eCalc and previous flight work on my...

Glad you mentioned that Bartman...... I never did but recall there was an option to upgrade it. I assumed it had something to do with adding the Glonass sat constellation access on top of USA's GPS...... but now it seems we are talking about a problem with the original....
or???

I stepped away from MRs for that past year..... but now back at it...... Are you saying the A2 firmware is now optimized such that there are no real problems with the A2 control system or that people are now avoiding this product?
