@SleepyC has flown both. What say you Sleep?

    Falcon Drone System Frame plates.

Did you add on any extras? Apparently there are some battery trays etc. They have the ears already - not sure I'd need anything more than that.

Just got an email from Tom. New plates are now in the works....

Do you know if the price is for 1, or both top and bottom?

    Falcon Drone System Frame plates.

That would be great. Hopefully the plural in plates is a good sign :)

Is that price for 2 plates (an entire center section) or for 1 plate? Thanks

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

You can run the FPV off the flight battery, but obviously it will drain it quicker. This gear shouldn't pull a ton of juice, but you'll have to see if your flight times suffer much. To see the voltage, you'd need an OSD setup. DJI makes a couple to choose from, as well as many others...

Nice work @SleepyC Did you have to extend the Tarot retracts to get enough clearance?

Looking good @SleepyC Do you have a link to those plates? Looks like that could be a good refresh for the Vulcan. Do they make a folding option?

    Humbled...

I agree that "**** happens" is not the mentality we should be accepting - and I certainly didn't mean to imply that. But what I do believe is that so far, no one has built a rig that can guarantee that it will work without flaw. And therefore we need to accept that this possibility is real, and...

    Crash analysis help please

The calibration would have had to be REALLY off to have that effect, and I honestly can't imagine how that would happen. glad you're running again. But I'd keep an eye on that esc or just replace it for peace of mind.

    Humbled...

If the craft seemed to operate opposite of the stick control, and sometime no stick control at all (except throttle), could this mean Rx connection/data failure? The A2 has the internal Rx? Is there any RSSI logging?

QuadFrame motor mounts and (KDE) 42mm motors

I hear you on availability. I can't say I fly the larger MRs fast enough to have them get too much resistance. But that's just me. I fly. Then plant and sit for a while and let the camera capture some pretty pics :)

    Humbled...

So sorry you had this experience. It's always a hit to the wallet, ego and confidence. I think there are many things you can do to avoid crashes like this, but ultimately, sometimes they "just happen." I have nothing that nears the investment you have, but I learned fairly early that I needed...

QuadFrame motor mounts and (KDE) 42mm motors

With just the mounts the way they are, they can spin on the round boom (this is the argument for square booms like Vulcan or Hexacrafter). If you drill a hole through you can key them so they don't move. Of course you'd have to have the level correct. But a digital angle finder can be had...

QuadFrame motor mounts and (KDE) 42mm motors

Nice work! Still not sure what's going on with the Quadframe mounts. They must have changed them since I had no issue except shaving a hair off that inner bearing hole. But who cares! You have a solution and it looks amazing. Keep on truckin' and you'll be up in the air before you know it. :)
