    Falcon Drone System Frame plates.

I bet those mounts and arms draw a lot of heat away from those motors. Anyone know the weight of frame alone in first photo?

Maybe if you post some pics and a list of the components your using , that would help. Without knowing anything else have you tried 16's to see if the high disc loading is an issue with the 17's?

    Motor mount question

As kloner does in the video. small screw through the mount into the carbon tube. Or they will eventually twist.

Compare mine to yours and you will see what I'm talking about. This is hovering in a 2-3 mph wind. When it's completely calm, the graphs are even tighter and vibs lower.

You will not get those right with a magnetic balancer. Get the Du-bro. I have at least 2-3 hours in each one of my t-motor cf's to get them perfect, and i am only running 14's.

I am also using kde motors and they are perfectly balanced, so your best bet is to put more time into the props and to get a good read on your log file you need to hover out of ground effects in absolutely no wind to be able to tell vibs, motor alignment and degrees a second (gain). Being that...

    Motor mount question

Straight up, .1 deg makes a difference! Easiest way to align motors is a straight edge ruler motor to motor.

Where are you at on gains? Roll and yaw look a little high. Have you balanced the motors and props together?

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

Thank god I haven't damaged more then two tmotor cf's and they were 13's. My 14's have many hours balancing, wouldn't want to go through that again anytime soon. Having to much fun flying!

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

It's funny I don't see many using JR radios. When I was doing my research before purchasing a radio I put a call into BVM jet's to see what they were flying at the time. To my surprise, it was JR not futaba or say Jeti which are ugly as sin..

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

Yes, then you would also be disappointed with the taranis it screams cheap in some ways. But it's form and function sets it apart from all others even at a higher price point. So far signal wise, plus reliability wise has beat out every $600+ 72mhz/1024pcm futaba I ever owned back in the day.

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

That's impressive. For me it's been a big accomplishment to build something from the ground up and end up after 15 months with a multi that fly's smooth as butter. I did come from 25 years fixed wing RC and full size single engine land /sea which makes things much easier. By the way I was a...

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

This morning's flight was the 100 hour mark for my KDE 515's and 111 hrs with the SuperX/Taranis. OH.......the sweet sound of KDE's in the morning.

No experience with your motors.I originally purchased MN3110-26 470kv's and within 10 hrs. had bearing play. Changed over to KDE 515kv's over 90 hrs ago, and the difference in quality was drastic. And we are only talking a 2400g quad! That's just my experience with tmotor navigators. If I were...
