    Investing in Multi-Rotor Heli Companies

Do you know what time the interview is? I'd be curious to see what he has to say.

    Hello from UK.

Welcome to Multirotorforums.com! I agree, I think you'll enjoy it here. Plenty of great folks to always lend a helping hand. Are you new to the hobby? Seasoned pro? Do you have a build started already? Have fun and fly safe!

    Taranis Plus + Iris + = ????

Are you doing the programming on the computer, or directly from the onboard screen?

    Taranis Plus + Iris + = ????

If you've got the APM telemetry, I suppose you dont need the Frysky. But if you have any craft that don't have the telemetry, they are super cheap and easy to install/setup for info on the radio. Nice to be able to track both voltage and consumption at the same time. I'm still using my older...

Why aren't there any smaller X8s?

Now THAT is a small X8!!! Nice work! :)

    Tarot 680 battery position?

I'm not sure what you mean. I've used them on several builds without issue. What don't they hold? Too much weight? Do they slip?

    Tarot 680 battery position?

Ah. You need those round, rubber grommets that's crew into the plate. Those things hold well. Cheap too.

    Taranis Plus + Iris + = ????

You'll love it. It has some great features. Did you get any of the telemetry modules?

    Tarot 680 battery position?

Is the tray itself moving, or the battery sliding on the tray???

    AVOID Hobby King!

Whitespy was flaky, no doubt about it. I guess the only consolation was that he seemed to be self-aware of his flakiness. :) I haven't dealt with him or followed any activity since I moved away from Multiwii, but in fairness, his products did work for me. I realized I should have clarified...

    Tarot 680 battery position?

I promise you that if you grab some of that 3M dual lock that the strap will be a side note to securing these batteries. Any orientation you choose, slap a bit of it on the battery (I wrap the battery once with clear packing tape first) and a bit on the tray, and it will stay tight. There will...

    AVOID Hobby King!

As far as I recall, Whitespy at Ready to Fly Quads contributed to both the software and hardware - at least back when he introduced his version of the hardware a couple years back (he had some goofy play on Pixhawk as well). I believe he had a fork downloadable/flashed at that time that he had a...

    Tarot 680 battery position?

Sorry. The pic made it look like you weren't using the tabs. If they aren't working for you - you'll have to make your own plates.

    Tarot 680 battery position?

See the tabs with the slots in them to the far left and right? In your photo they look to be coming toward the foreground under the rails. The straps should fit inside there and wrap the battery in the same direction you have it now.

    Tarot 680 battery position?

I know what you mean - that's why I made my own plate - and drilled holes to accept the mounts. The slots they have on the plates are a little weird to get a good grip - but I did use them for a bit with good velcro and a strap. The 3M dual lock will hold a battery on its own (I never trust...

    Tarot 680 battery position?

You could make your own or use something like this to prevent slippage along the rails. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__54317__Tarot_680PRO_HexaCopter_Camera_Rail_Battery_Mount.html

    Tarot 680 battery position?

Can you put a plate with some Velcro on the rails? This way the Velcro can hold the battery location and some straps would secure it.

Aerial MOB picked as Panavision's Preferred Aerial Company

I am always happy to hear when the members here on MRF are doing well in this industry, and I am glad you got the gig because Deakins was shopping around. I did not mean to suggest that all productions have the luxury of seemingly unlimited budgets. But the productions I was referring to (and I...

Aerial MOB picked as Panavision's Preferred Aerial Company

I know that in NYC, Panavision is a close second to a local rental house in NJ, so they have a sizable grip on LA and NYC, the largest U.S. production markets. My girlfriend does accounts payable accounting for TV here in NYC (and for years did location features based in LA), and while it goes...
