S800 Return to Home won't work.

What's all this about recalibrating the compass at each location? Never heard of that before - except perhaps when you change continents.

Good job. Totally agree about the 'Producer's Shot' at the end. Very well choreographed. This also excellent stuff. Delightful area. Can't help but notice though that guys in southern and eastern Europe (and beyond) appear to be much less restricted or maybe less inhibited with flying in...

    Secraft SE Retracting Landing Gear

Whoops! My mistake. Well it so happens that I previously had the Secraft S800 retracts and yes, they did this. When power was applied they would often activate briefly - which of course is highly undesirable if you have an expensive Zenmuse waiting to hit the ground every time you connect the...

    Secraft SE Retracting Landing Gear

This is precisely what mine were doing at times, when and if they worked at all. There is a four second safety delay built in so that if the retracts have not completed their raising cycle within that time they are then locked into the down position and will require recalibrating to get them to...

    The DJI rant thread

No pain here. Just bemused that they imagine I am going to pay to ship their rubbish back to them. I don't give a stuff about a company's warranty structures when I have the upper hand. Or do they have a Ninja Team in the shadows behind my local boulangerie waiting to fling triangular pointy...

    The DJI rant thread

I told you this might not be over yet. So this is the DJI policy on replacement of faulty units under guarantee: "... you must pay for the shipping cost. Our rules are warranty goods and defective goods need to be prepaid by the sender." Hmm? Good, eh? I replied: "Whatever 'Rules' you might...

DJI Big SALE everywhere....??? Give-away party for a reason.....

Well that little post would be far more engaging with a bit of expansion. As it is, I can't get past the image of bicycle wheels flying around. No that is just plain bad marketing from a bullshït company that has not one solitary grain of understanding of how far they are alienating their...

DJI Big SALE everywhere....??? Give-away party for a reason.....

... or the devil :devilish: BTW Bart 'n' onlocation, go find another thread for all that hifalutin' nonsense. We were quietly enjoying a bit of DJI bashing an' then you come barging in getting all techricul 'n' stuff. :)

DJI Big SALE everywhere....??? Give-away party for a reason.....

Well I am with Chris. I reckon they are trying to get rid of all their old, faulty gear before releasing all the EVO stuff. The only halfway decent thing DJI makes (on the multi-rotor SIDE) is the Zenmuse, but IT don't feature that highly in the deals, which mainly push the S800 and the WKM...

A big HURRAH for Secraft - a throughly honourable company

Seconds out ... round two ??? AH, now I get it. Location: San Diego Sorry friend, scholars accept that correct use of English extends no further west nor south than Boston, becoming increasingly corrupted the further inland one travels. Given that San Diego is about to fall into both the...

A big HURRAH for Secraft - a throughly honourable company

I do wish the Americans would learn to spell. They're over there with their Multi-rotors. BTW, somewhat missing the point with that response.

    The DJI rant thread

So finally DJI have managed to score a Plus Mark. It certainly took time but they have replaced the wierdo retracts that only worked reliably on the ground but not in the air. The replacements work normally and it remains to be seen whether or not they will continue to do so. Anyway, the point...

A big HURRAH for Secraft - a throughly honourable company

This is a big HURRAH for Secraft and their positively glowing attitude towards customer satisfaction. I ordered the Secraft retracts when they first appeared at the beginning of this year. In response to an email I sent simply asking for clarification of the reports I had seen about...

    S800 Retracts problem

Well, DJI did finally step up to the mark and they have replaced the retracts. So far the replacements are functioning correctly but that has only been two flights. I will try to wear them out next time.

Aeronavics / Droidworx Brave Move for DroidWorx - Offering RTF systems

I am not in a position to recommend anything. I only know MikroKopter and the DJI Wookong M and there are other options out there. My experience has clearly demonstrated that the DJI system could be brilliant, but it has also illustrated that their product and software releases have become...

    Wookong IMU V2

Before the kit arrived I had hoped that an small extension would be provided to enable simple connection/disconnection if the IMU were to be placed on the tray. Wishful thinking. But Thanks for that Naza-H info. I did not know that very cable existed elsewhere. I will get one. EDIT: Not so easy...
