Results on a test-bench are always to be questioned (especially if I made them, I am no expert on test-bech and measurements), since you never have 5m free space in front and rear space of the propeller, so what you measure is only an indication. On the test-bench there was only a single...
I do not know, but I would expect all the modules that fit :D.
If you intend to change the module, one of the main reasons for this RC-TX is gone. You loose the digital connection, ... .

People tend to praise what they have in use (also to justify their decision). I am using (multiple) Aurora, and the are perfectly suited for multirotor use, but I cannot compare since I do not have a Taranis in use. You can only compare if you have both systems.

1) It had to be done.
2) 30m 16AWG (this was a really lightweight copter)
3) A standard power supply (that can be regulated) this is the one I use for charging.
The copter is hovering at about 7A at 15 V (so something like 100W)
From my point of view 400ft is impossible (I do not use this...
For 20m (height, 30m wire) I had to play all tricks to get the needed power though the wire (to supply the copter from ground only). Of course it is much easier to take a multirotor (with Lipos on board) and put it on a line.

After crashing 2 copter it was also serious enough to me ( I could watch the crashes because I lost rc-link before the 5,8 video-link with 25mW, which I was not used to). So what to do with an rc-transmitter and the receivers where you have experienced that they have reduced range? It is similar...
This is a thread on "the best escs 2014"
What happened to me is just that I learned that if something looks extremely nice, the core functionality needs not to follow. This is just my own experience, it does not mean anything to anybody else, others may have made other experiences.
best...
From my point of view there is no "best" ESC, there are just people reporting their experience, the choice is always yours (as the responsibility is).
On my copter there are all over hobbywing (from 12Afunfly to 80A HV). The bigger the copter the less important the "speed" of the ESC becomes...
The brave man acts, and for sure he does not judge others, since he knows it could have been him in this situation, and he does not know how he would have reacted.
Only Superman (and possibly Batman) do know in advance what to do and how to act in a given situation, they never fail.
A lot of...
If you add a GoPro on gimbal you will loose the time because of the additional weight, not because of its power consumption. How you get more flighttime by adding an extra battery is not my expertise. Let me add, that if something on a brushless gimbal gets hot, something is wrong, or should be...
@sk8brd
I am using this .xls which is based no a formula derived by a mate unfortunately his blog if offline ( www.flugst0ff.de )
Here you enter the parameters of the copter and the efficiency is "matched" if you have experience with the propeller ( /motor/esc) you can take that from other...
@Carapau
If you do the math correctly (propellers are in pairs) and apply the correct currency-conversion the price per motor/prop is about half of your estimation.
Of course you can do something similar with smaller propeller and smaller motors, but then the flighttime is only 30min.
or you...
If prop/motor/esc-data is available, the pediction of the flighttime can be done pretty accurate. Not all conditions make thins worse. To hover in calm air is not the most efficient status on multicopter, if you can hover for a certain time, you can fly longer at moderate forward speed...
@rendaubarbier
What gains are you using? If your basic gains are too low it feels like that. Basic gains with standard ESCs should be somewhere at 250-300 for Roll and Pitch.
@srbell
I am flying 10" to 28" setups all standard ESCs (no Simonk) and this is really no problem also in windy...
I cannot disagree more ...
There was a time, were beeing on lkdin, tw has been an advantage (fb never was an advantage), but these times are (almost) gone. Since everybody does the same, the "presence" on "social" media in not really an advantage any more. Especially if you are a small company...
The batteries I used for my last flights are now available here:

Ok, then it is clear, 3,9V a cell means battery almost full. You can fly under load until 3,5V on the safe side, if you are more progressive, know your machine and battery you can go down until 3,4V a cell.

@jrlederer
If the boards do not fit, they do not fit, that is a binary decision. If you can dremel or not I have no idea, you will have to ask the board manufacturer, but placing the boards inside the battery tray is "suboptimal".
Placing the ESCs in between the motors is also ok, 75A is quite...
