    3 Axis BGC is here

Too Bad that Roberto Navoni cant be bothered to edit out the start up garbage but looks like they get the new 3axis board working pretty good now. :tennis:

    Climbing the evolutionary MR Ladder.

I got into Mr's about seven years ago and like many I wanted larger and more powerful machines that could lift heavy cameras. Some weird designs followed and about the only FC around at that time was MK but for reliability reasons I turned to a benchmark KK board. There were a lot of...

Not much can compare to this

The flight times and the wind tolerance is quite remarkable and yes, the penny dropped over the right way to mount the motors. http://www.skyranger.com/

    Magnetic interference

Ultraperm-80 found on Ebay etc. is a good solution for shielding your mag module from interference. :tennis:

    Safety is no accident

As I read with dismay a report that a young child was killed and it's father seriously injured when a model went out of control it brings home the fact that almost every MR manufacturer is guilty of not having any form of creative development ideas. They copy each other and replicate the same...

    Naza H recommended.

I hung on for quite a while after seeing the latest 2.0 firmware release. So with a degree of trepidation I gave it a try today. It has the compass checker like the new Naza-M which was great. All in All I have to say well done to DJI as this product is in MHO great value for money and works...

    T-Motor MH2214 White (Phantom Upgrade)

This snazzy looking motor set from T-Motor could be interesting. Anyone tried it yet? Kv. looks a bit low for standard 8" props. Most of the current 2212/1214 size motors all seem to work best with 9 or 10" props.

    Another 3 axis brushless

I like this one from the Virtual Robotics Team http://www.virtualrobotix.com/group/vr-gimbal-user-group?commentId=5970470%3AComment%3A39022&xg_source=msg_com_group http://www.virtualrobotix.com/page/vr-gimbal?commentId=5970470%3AComment%3A39023&xg_source=msg_com_page

    Anyone using the Martinez board

Those really nice people at Iflight just sent me a couple of their new GBM5209 motors. WOW these things are monsters. just right for those big cameras. Also got a Martinez board that seems to work just fine straight out of the box, however I cant get it to load the latest code as I get the...

Funny or not - This was predicted

As soon as you open up the availability for something that can fly and take imagery then this will happen more often. Glad to see DJI at the center of bad publicity once again. http://www.marionstar.com/article/20130430/NEWS01/304300023?gcheck=1 I think his prowess as a director of aerial...

    The China Syndrome

It would seem that DJI are not alone in their disposable policies. I received this reply from GoPro after my Hero-3 stopped working and I quote from Nick at GoPro "Yes that is correct we do not repair our products as the costs are too high compared to issuing a new camera. We manufacture in...

DJI Zenmuse has no value anymore.

The DJI Zenmuse may have set the bar higher in terms of stability last year but that has now changed. Several brushless gimbals have shown that they can achieve the same level of stability without all of the stupid quirks like not being able to turn the camera ON and OFF in the field without the...

Want a capable heavy lift Okto

I have not tried one of these but it looks like good value for money if you want to lift a DSLR. Tarot is a relatively new kid on the block and they seem to have some interesting stuff.http://www.infinity-hobby.com/main/product_info.php?products_id=9415&osCsid=1947cf661d99557ba12d64361d28daa3 I...

So who does make the best Multirotor controller.

Well that is an interesting question, and one that will no doubt stir up a few comments. IMHO it would not be Hoverfly, AMP, MK or even DJI. I would have said that based on what I have seen it would be Autoquad-6 but then I found this at astacopter.ru Yep, these Russian guys are definitely...

Align Treker still need a LOT of work

I think it says volumes about a platform when the gimbal has a pre-set Crash mode. The lag in the response is unbelievable. Some way to go before I would buy one of those contraptions. Looks like a number of other fundamental layout mistakes in that design. More worrying is reports that on the...

Hobby King Not safe to deal with

We all know that Hobby King don't miss a trick when it comes to low budget dirt bag dealings. But this takes the biscuit. I ordered a bunch of stuff and they sent it omitting a small mini drill set. So I informed them of the short fall and they replied after about a week and said "Take a photo...
