    5.8GHZ Ofcom License

I have also been down this route with them... Basicly the licence you can get for unlimited airborne use excludes 5.8ghz, and the one to include it is a case by case basis... I was 'hinted at' that they aren't too bothered by the relatively small use in FPV so to not worry! So crack on with...

    FPV goggles with corrective lenses?

@Denzil; When you say quite strong, how strong? + 4, +6, +8? Sent by my thumb, a trusty slave to my crazy mind. The above is the ramblings of a lunatic, and should be treated as such. Terms and conditions apply.

    Naza V2 TX Calibration

No you shouldn't. Before you calibrate your sticks, it has no idea how far you have to full input positions. Therefor it may be massively overestimating what it thinks it's your input, but is infact just signal noise. V2.02 is solid as a rock - don't worry. Sent by my thumb, a trusty slave...

    I need some led strips.

Try your local electrical factors or electronic store... In the UK we have a chain called Maplin where you can buy 12v strip led in every colour of the roll, on a self adhesive backing. They are made as under unit lights for kitchens, so you may well find them in your day store too - you just...

    Horrendous flight time!!

The best way to judge it to get to know your packs, always land at a safe voltage (above 3.5 loaded) and log what you put back in. I keep a note pad with my charger where each battery has a page. I log flight time, bounce back voltage and min after landing, Mah put back in, and mah per min of...

GoPro will soon be manufacturing drones.

Not so sure about that... DJI has more than double the full time employees that Go Pro do - not sure how profitable DJI are by comparison though. Your prop of choice and why?

I need to ask... What are 18" props going to be going onto? What is your AUW? What voltage are you using? What kV motors are you using? Sent by my thumb, a trusty slave to my crazy mind. The above is the ramblings of a lunatic, and should be treated as such. Terms and conditions apply.

And you said your worried about the terminals with the day leads... They are insulated with heart shrink I hope?? Sent by my thumb, a trusty slave to my crazy mind. The above is the ramblings of a lunatic, and should be treated as such. Terms and conditions apply.

    Horrendous flight time!!

Glad you saw a good improvement! Í completely agree to look after your batteries as said above - I set a alarm like the one I linked you to to go off at 3.6 V per cell loaded. That quickly has it bounce back to 11.0-11.1v within a minute of landing, which is very healthy. It should be noted...

Can you paint a Naza GPS puck, say flat black?

I took the top white cap off and covered mine in mat black vinyl - the type used to 'wrap' cars.

    Horrendous flight time!!

Yes they are absolutely fine. They were fairly standard until not too long ago, before alot of people moved over to deans plugs or the XT60 because the HTX plugs can be quite stiff to un-plug.

However you achieve a good tight connection, just make sure that it is mechanically secure, and that the solder joint is secure when you move it... They are very good batteries - the first couple of charges the performance will get a bit better too!

    Horrendous flight time!!

If I was you, for the size of MR you have, you will never pull more than 60 A, and you will average 10-15 A. To that end I use XT60 connectors (as are installed on the Phantom). They are anti-spark, very secure and gold plated contacts for ultra low resistance. Either do what I did on my 5800...

No legs I know, but the original F450 ones only weigh 48g, and can be less of you cut carbon plate to extend the legs built into the arms. And lighter than the P2 [emoji12] Sent by my thumb, a trusty slave to my crazy mind. The above is the ramblings of a lunatic, and should be treated as...

Mistletoe drone launched at TGIF - UK

Either way, it's someone very uneducated in what would happen if a phantom were to drop onto someone... Particularly indoors around all sorts of EMF and GPS blocks. I hope their pilots are s**t hot!

    Horrendous flight time!!

What frame are you using? One of the main places I see people load weight on is their landing gear. Some of the gear sets I see on 450 size quads are ridiculous - very cool, but at the cost of overloading such a small frame, costing flight time. BTW, if you are FPVing, are you also using the go...
