Why chose the DJI F550 over the F450..??

Well that's good. At least DJI did that right so it's easy to find replacements. The props are still crap though. ;-)

Why chose the DJI F550 over the F450..??

More so than the hub size is the hub shape. The flat spots are the weak point that make those props break, just like the XAircraft props (same bad design). I can't speak 100% on the size of the hub, but i was of the understanding that they were the same as the XA's (8.13xxx mm aka oddball)...

Why chose the DJI F550 over the F450..??

Those props are garbage, to be completely honest. The basic design of it is just flawed in an attempt to lock users into their own proprietary parts. If you are comfortable with it, I would suggest going with a motor prop combo of your own choice. If you don't want to get your hands dirty, the...

Why chose the DJI F550 over the F450..??

I think the real underlying question here is why would you chose a hexa over a quad. They are just different tools for different jobs. NFC hit it pretty much right on the head when he described the flight characteristics. The hexa is going to give you a much smoother docile flight that is better...

    5.04 WKM firmware released

Why not go even lower than 150, Yuri? If stock is 100, and you are getting twitches, I would at least go back to stock settings and go from there. From what I have heard, the gain range on the newest firmware has shifted down some, so you might need to go even lower.

    Remzibi OSD

Thanks for the info, Ken. I'll have to turn mine off on the AP craft. I do a lot of hovering in one place to get a shot, so it will turn on after only being in the air a few minutes sometimes. The FPV quad is a different story though. So after reading all about these heat problems I tested...

GoPro Hero2 FPV video-out problem when in timelapse mode???

You can't use the GoPro as an FPV cam if you are taking photos anyway. Every time a photo is taken, the output will be interrupted. You are basically flying blind at that point, even if only for a second or 2. Get yourself a second camera and a switch and life will be much happier.

XAircraft Do I need only the autopilot or i have to get the new GPS too

Auto pilot replaced the GPS. If you have version 1 hardware, you can only use the GPS, but it doesn't work. That's why they came out with the new autopilot, but they don't support version 1 any longer. Sorry.

F550 with WKM ...not operate the motor does not spin

Also, make sure you don't have a lot of trim set on your controller. I've been pushed out of range of my CSC by to much trim. Have a look in the assistant software and see what your radio is doing when you try to engage CSC... BUT TAKE THE PROPS OFF FIRST!

    looking for APV camera

I think the s100 does have live feed out. I use an s90 for photos, and I love it. The Canon cameras can also be hacked to do extra thing by using chdk. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK I put an intervelometer script on mine so I don't have to worry about triggering the shot, I just get it into...

I figured it out last night. The radio I was asking about is actually the same one the rtf comes with, so I'm sure it will work. Thanks -Terry

New ESC's arrived! Extend or resolder cables for X650?

To many connectors COULD be a week point, but to many solder joints shouldn't be a problem at all... unless they are cold joints. Small wires of that size should be absolutely no problem though. i would just extend the wires that are that are there. If you don't like it, you can always go with...

    Blade mQx -What a Hoot

Ken, you are killing me with the travel case for the mQx! That's awesome as hell! Quick question about these things. If I got the bind and fly version, do you think I could bind it to my E-Flite MLP4DSM radio that came with the Blade MSR? The RTF radio looks exactly the same. I want to get one...

New ESC's arrived! Extend or resolder cables for X650?

I would place the ecs's in the same location as the originals. This will require that you extend the signal cable as well as the + & - power leads. Having it out there will help with heat since the esc is under the prop wash... plus it just looks cleaner. Just my 2 cents, but that's how I did...

    Can someone please design this?

I was just going to say, Arduino is the way to do it. One of the developers in my office has been working with custom LED installations based on Arduino. His basement looks like a Pink Floyd laser show. -Terry
