I have just tried 5.08 and found that at the recommended idle speed, the 3 anti-clockwise motors didn't spin up. After increasing idle speed, they all spun up. Then after a 5 minute flight, I checked the motor temps and found that the 3 clockwise motors were warm to the touch, the other 3 were...

Hence why I always take off well away from trees and buildings where possible, in case it needs to come back on its own. It should land within 1 or 2 meters from the takeoff position though, it's pretty good. Regards, Gunter via the Samsung

Personally I would never fly it without the transmitter! At least if something goes wrong, you can flick off GPS and land it yourself. I have seen waypoint flying and it is very good, but the extra backup of the transmitter is always advisable. Gunter.

Pal, Im not sure that the 8" props would work that well with so much weight, I've never tried it that heavy. I would have thought 10" Graupners would be a good choice as mentioned before, might be good to try both. Regards, Gunter via the Samsung

The red LED is probably the battery monitor. I have had lots of problems with this. Try turning off the battery monitor and try fly again, it should go away. Gunter.
