Bought myself a Christmas present last year, Iris+, wanted to try autonomous flight someday and this seemed like a good way to start. So I forced myself to leave it in the box until the weather (Michigan weather sucks..) got nice and today was the day! So I watched all the videos I could find...

Haven't forgotten about this, truth is it's still in the box, haven't had time for anything yet. Pics and review as soon as I take it out. I know, I'm lame..... :eek: :D

I gotta say forgetting about the landing on water and underwater filming, which is cool by it self, the idea of being able to fly over water and not worry about your MR sinking to the bottom in case of a crash is very appealing. Kind of skeptical about those flight time claims, would be awesome...

Sure, just got back to Mi. Gonna break out the Android later and check out the Flight Planner SW. Also ordering FPV gear for the Iris.

Santa came yesterday, now I have to wait till I get back to Michigan to fly, in Florida for holidays, thought I'd have a chance to fly it here. Ohhhh pretty....

Interesting video, part of me thinks that MR needs a larger chute, looked like a slightly hard hit to me and part of me thinks that quick descent is good since it will cut down on the amount of drift.

I wish I could show something new. On Christmas I lost my Blade 180QX (Pilot error...) Got disoriented and couldn't get it back :( However my replacement 180 QX will be here Monday, along with my 3DR Iris + Pics then :rolleyes:

Here's my story so far. I built a DJI FW 550, flown it a couple times but not real comfortable trying to learn with this much money in it (not a lot compared to others but enough I don't want to destroy it learning). So I bought a Helimax 1si Flys ok and is fun but limited to indoors and not...

Did either of you program those monitors for the alarm voltage? If so what did you set them to? I have the same just not from HK.

Hi Mark, I built my 550 in January but have only flown it once for about 5 minutes. I live in Dearborn Heights by the way.

I have a GoPro 3 Silver and I think I'm going to also get the Mobius to play with, looks like it'd do a nice job as a FPV cam also....

Don't be afraid about the complexity of programming Futaba, it's really not that bad and once you get a handle on it you'll have an "ah ha" moment and it'll make a lot more sense. Also there's a bunch of us here with Futaba Txs that can point you in the right direction and help if you get stuck.

Just curious Mustangbill, where are you from? Michigan - Ohio area and do you have RC Rock Crawlers?

It has the new style props doesn't it, no nuts, just spin them on? If so I don't know how you could put those on a balancer. Are these the props you have?
