    Where to install a Capacitor

ESC's have a capacitor on the battery side to smooth out voltage spikes going to the FET's. I would find it very odd that you have to add your own capacitor because the ESC doesn't come with one already. If you are running a BEC from the ESC to supply the power to your VTX then I could see the...

Commercial Operations of sAUS in the US now Legal

I already have a TWIC (transportation worker identification credential) card for my work issued by The TSA and Homeland Security. I wonder if that would satisfy the requirement for TSA vetting seeing on how that's what it is.

Commercial Operations of sAUS in the US now Legal

So just to clarify, You would only have to study up then take the test? I would figure in a short time someone would start up a school and teach you everything you needed then give the test and certify you.

Anyone Have USB Issues With Their GoPro Hero 4?

Not familiar with the problem but I'm interested in hearing what you find out. The hero 4 is an expensive camera and it really sucks that its messed up. From the sound of it the usb connection in the camera is broken and no longer is connected to the camera internally. That's why it wont charge...

    Private Investigator here

Assuming its not going on a drone and therefore you may not have clear line of sight you're going to want a fairly strong transmitter. Problem with that is they take more power and need good cooling. Most sites that sell FPV gear have some high powered transmitters available. Once you try to go...

    Durability vs. Part Costs

I had the same experience with a Tarot 680. I kept breaking landing skids, they were very thin walled CF. I replaced them with some heavy walled CF and thought I was pretty smart. I had a semi hard landing and it allowed the energy to be transferred up into the body breaking the bottom plate. It...

    non-racer 250 sized quad specs

In the end its still going to be a 250. Depending on the FC that you use you could just tune it down a little so its not so crazy fast. You can also build it a little heavier so its a little slower, maybe run a bigger battery, it cant be too heavy though.

    DJI F550 power distribution board

Time to get out the volt meter and start chasing down the problem. You may have an open circuit. Can you see the PD board? Any disconnected or broken wires? Sometimes solder joints break.

    arming problem - please help

I had the same problem with a MR that I had bought second hand. It was built professionally by walkera and when contacted they claimed it was the nature of the setup. I was worried about it dropping out of the sky as well. I flew the MR and it was fine, I just made sure I never went below 50%...

    I'm at a lost here!!!

How can one be sure the pairing is correct? Is it on the motor spec sheet?

    I'm at a lost here!!!

Just to clarify, have you done a throttle cal? Are those the right props for that motor? Consider trying smaller ones which will get you a higher rpm and possibly lower current. Assuming this is all good I would also check the balance of the MR. it shouldn't be heavy towards the back, front or...

It was at 360 here on a work computer. I switched it to 720 and you cant see it so it was my settings not your video.

Arizona's Largest Open Pit Copper Mine.

Well that's surprising and it just proves that its only partially the camera and post production has a lot to do with a professional look. I saw the strobe effect when you pan which is evident with most cmos sensor cameras but when I saw your tag line at the bottom of your post I thought it...

    UK fire extinguisher class

It would probably be classified as a class D fire. I would stay away from dry chemical, If you extinguish a fire with one the multirotor would be a total loss IMO. Dry chem is very bad for anything electronic or electrical in nature, it gets into everything and can be corrosive over time...
