    Uploading logs from Pixhawk

Hi, I got a 404 on both those file links. Would be great if Bart could allow .bin attachments. (.bin is the preferred file, because it comes right off the card, does not require MP to parse it into a log, which sometimes causes a few small corruptions.)

    New Y6 Tri-Trooper 900mm & Pixhawk

It is no problem at all to power the Pixhawk from the servo rail if you do not have any servos on the rail. That warning specifically talks about servos on the power rail. If you don't have any, no problem.

Incredible HLQ project! (Gasoline Powered Quad!)

Which engines are they using? I have a gas heli with a Zenoah. Should be very reliable. They are basically just converted commercial motors. Are they using HK motors or something? Vibrations are a consideration, but should be manageable. Overall, the reliability of these helis systems can...

I agree. Unfortunately, I have no influence in this. However, I'm not just a software developer. You should consider me a System Engineer. I do it all. If somebody needs help with systems integration, I'm the guy. I'm basically saying the same thing. It's a waste of time to build out...

I'm not saying not to balance props. I just don't put that much effort in. However, this video was shot with with props right out of the box, not balanced at all: The situation you present though, is exactly what I say is not a good idea. Balanced props, and a hard mounted camera. That...

If you use an HV BEC to power the Pixhawk, then you will lose the battery voltage and current draw data. Unless, you set up a voltage divider, which is very easy to do, and is what I do on most of my aircraft. That gets you voltage. I just don't worry about current normally. It really doesn't...

Well, generally yes but, if that 9km restriction is real (I have trouble believing it is, because it's stupid compared to everything else in the rules which are reasonable) then you'll have a hard time starting a business, because everything you do will require an SFOC, and you cannot compete...

Three cheers for Bart- nice new forum!

How about Advanced Applications? You know, they are more advanced than multirotors after all. ;) I don't know how much traffic there would be. I know we don't have a home after Helifreak chased us all away. But, would they find a home on MRF? I don't know. I'm not even sure how many guys...

Damn... yeah, that is... not so good. I missed that part. Yeah, that kinda kills this doesn't it? This was supposed to reduce SFOC applications to manageable levels, allowing free operation of safe/simple flights. But that right there will kill that idea. That can't be right. I'm trying to...

Why the big discussion? Is the Xaircraft having a problem? Or this is just a general discussion about reducing vibes for video? I don't put a lot of effort into balancing propellers. Soon as the air starts moving (which is always) they start vibrating anyway. As long balance is close enough...

No. Please stop this rumor people. This is trivial. I have use it with 12S. It is a non-issue. Pssst. You live like 1 hour away from a guy who helped write the program. ;) I'm going to be quitting my day job next week, and will have plenty of time to show you how it works if you want the...

Where is the list of 37? I'm only going on the infographic so far. It clearly says that <2kg, you can be up to 30m from uninvolved people/things.

Wow, so this seems completely reasonable. The only question I have is what does it mean for: Stay at least 150 metres away from people, animals, buildings, structures, and vehicles not involved in the operation When is a building involved? If you are taking photo/video of a building, I guess...

" There shall be a means to assure that prior to taxi and take-off or launch, the UAV systems and subsystems are operating correctly." Huh, that would seem to exclude all multirotors... ? You can't actually make sure it's going to work right, until it's actually in the air.
