Not a bad idea, except you cannot frame the shots this way. Inside a home, that is critical. Sure would save some dough, though!

DJI support is slow. My dealer has been responsive but he has limitations. I damaged a gimbal in a crash - my fault - it has been out for repair for over 8 weeks and I have no idea when I will see it again. I had to buy another so I could keep flying.

Mine seemed to be a firmware problem. The TX firmware was apparently out of synch with the P2 software. DJI isn't clear enough about updating firmware nor does their software warn you of a potential problem nor does it show you how to fix it.

Which settings seem to work best when you are taking photos while also doing video? I sense that I need to do this so that I can capture stills and video simultaneously. Without the camera in video mode, I cannot get output to the VTX. Or - do I just need to learn something I haven't yet...

Just installed a new Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal on my Phantom 2. All seems to work except it will not tilt down or up. No reaction when moving the lever on the back of the DJI transmitter. This is a replacement gimbal for one damaged in a crash. The other one was identical and the tilt worked fine...

Turned out to be quite simple. Only had to solder 4 connections on the video transmitter cable. Rest of it was plug and play. Works nicely.
