Well done, I too liked the editing and overall look of the video.

I have a couple of suggestions that you might want to consider.

Obviously safety is an AP pilots first priority, I noticed how you didn't appear to fly directly over anyone and stayed a good safe distance, if there's enough space to do this safely you might want to try flying from the bottom, lower than the cyclist/boarder and as they "dip in" [I have no idea what the right term for this is] you climb as they come down, that should give you kind of a cool forced perspective.

The other recommendation would be when your shooting hand held from the ground get some extreme close ups of the bikes/boards that match the action from some of your aerial shots, as long as you cut on motion the viewer will often not even realize you've made an edit and think of it as a contiguous shot.

Anyway, I enjoyed your video and hope this helps.

My previous post was in reply to your previous video.

Are you controlling the gimbal and the Hex or is there a second camera operator?

Hi all,

Hopefully this is ok to post a test flight here. This is the 1st flight with the new 3 axis Cinestar gimbal.

I've seen a lot of 360's on CS8's but I confirmed that it works just fine on my CS6 with only 3 vib isolators that come stock with the frame.

I would say that we have more tuning to do in order for this to be the best it can be. You will see a some jumpy frames in the vid. Most likely some small dials in MKT and some on the Radio itself.

No fpv- my stinger cable connector went "ca-put" last week

Way to go Quadrocopter/Freefly Systems!

My initial Flying observation is the new flying technique (need to focus on new visual cues) definitely different especially on this Multi and will need to figure out a good solution for better visual orientation. Perhaps some brighter LED's on the end of the back boom. Any suggestions welcome.

Sorry for rambling :nevreness:

Thanks for the feedback. And I agree AP safety is always my primary focus and first priority.

I scouted the entire area and walked the entire park first

Also used a blade MQX (Small /micro multi copter) that does pretty well outside even with some wind. I used the MQX to fly around the entire park to check orientation, wind and any potential areas that may cause issues before even taking the CS out of the car.

My point about safety was that it was obvious from your video that you had taken that into consideration and that I was suggesting something that might not have been safe to try. I can't tell you how many videos I've seen from really good pilots that fly directly over people or hover a Hex three feet from someone.

Thanks for sharing I look forward to more of your videos.

I had the same problem...until I painted the dome on top 2 colours...yellow for the front & orange for the rear, havent been out yet to try it, but it sure makes things easier. I have powerful LED's froma car on the front 2 arms, but after 40ft in day light they dont make a difference!!

Check out the video from Tabb (the winter one with two CStars) and you will see he has a big orange foamy wrap on the arm 1. He said he has the same challenge. Can't fly by reference to the landing gear...

RC Flying

A Drone Mind
Anyone tried using the course lock function on DJI yet, should take away the need to orient the craft correctly
I set it up on my radio the other day but haven't tried it yet. I may give it a go today though flying along a horse racing track, without the horses.
I made this yesterday with a Gopro 2, which I'm experimenting quite a lot with at the moment. It's sometimes fun to play around with smaller cameras and get the movement of the flying in the videos. It makes a change from the rock solid higher quality camera stuff that looks like you're floating on a baloon, which is what I need to do most of the time.

RC Flying, have you been to the council & seen about getting rid of the ****ehawks for them? I noticed loads of them on the roof of the entertainment centre. We have the same probs down here & with skyrats.

Flying at night is easier than during the day I have found. You can spot LED's at night & tell what an aircraft is doing far easier than at the same distance during the day.
