Hi guys

Does anyone know where I can get a 5 pin molex connector for the FC2.1ME board as I will be using I2C-PWM convertor by timecop?

I don't use it either, Ross you can just solder wires to the pads on the bottom of the FC and use what ever plug you want. I soldered wires for the buzzer, C&D pads and also power + and - and then you just use any 6pin plug.

Thanks Craig;

I did think along those lines but was concerned if I ever go to sell the FC board about wires hanging off :)
I will check it out later this evening.

Im going to do the same thing and im going to use the molex cable as it give a clean look and you wont have any wires hanging out of the bottom of the board Tom

Ross,

I just soldered wires to the C & D pads which connect to the C & D pins on the converter board. Mine go via a plug

As for the ground, I just get my power and ground from the FC to the Converter board. I know in the manual it says to connect C, D and ground to the Converter board pins, but the ground pins on the converter board are connected so if you are powering the board from an external power source you are connecting a ground to it anyway. Thats how I have mine setup.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,
Craig

Thanks for the links Tom shame as I ordered my diversity receiver from quadcopters US only the other week...gutted :(
Craig I think I'll nick a servo lead off of one of my old dead servos & solder direct onto the FC board keeping the 3 pin plug on the other end to connect to the TC PPM board.

Hi guys, i'd like to move the gps module esternally like in the cinestar configuration, for this i need to build a custon long cable so I cant and don't want to change the molex
does anyone knows the correct name of the stock molex connector present in the gps module?
I know I can also buy one from Quadcopter.com but they are in USA and I live in Europe so is too much expensive

thanks

Hi Dave, thanks for your attention..i know mikrokpter world by several years :D

what i need is a different version of this cable, I need at least 15 centimeters long cable version and it looks that only quadrocopter has it

does anyone knows another european place where to buy it? or at least the exact name of the molex connector?
i can quickly rebuild it but have to buy the right components
