XAircraft Xaircraft FC as standalone camera gymble controller?

Hi All

I've upgrade my FC in my xaircraft x650 v8 to a wookong m but of course there are only 6 outputs unless you use up the camera gimbal slots. so can i use my old Xaircraft FC as a stand alone controler for the camera gimbal? if so how do i power it?

Cheers

You sure can, and from what I hear, they work better as a camera stabilizer than the flight controller. You will need to get a BEC to power it.

Ok so that leads me to my next question what does a BEC do i think i have one from an old TREX600 Heli.

Do i connect the BEC to my main lipo and then run my Xaircraft FC/Gimbal controller and FPV gear from that?

Thanks for your help

Would this work when the only connection to the XA controller is power in and gimbals out ? Doesn't it need inputs to know the attitude of the MRC ?

The input comes from the AHRS unit, unless you want to also run a signal in to control the pitch or roll of the gimbal.

Let me know how it works out. I've got a spare one laying around that I've got the same plans for.
