WKM - SkyJib - MayTech ESC... really need to cut the red wire?

In the Wookong M manual is says... If you use 3rd party ESCs, please cut the red wire (power wire) of your ESCs , as the power from V-SEN on PMU is suitable to most of receivers and other electronic devices.

I'm going to be using MayTech 65Amp ESC's on my SkyJIb 8 so should I cut the red wire (power wire) as the manual states?

Rather than cutting it, which is a bit permeant, just extract that pin out of the 1x3 BEC housing, bend it back and cover it with electrical tape. That way you can easily restore it if you need to.

Rory I don't know the WKM products but if that is what they are suggesting it is similar to the HFPro line. On the HF you connect one of the ESC connections with power and the remainder without.

yes, correct. DJI has a PMU that supplies its own power to the wkm/naza and the rx. Since the +/- terminals are all bussed together thats all it needs.
