One disappointment: The damn gimbal drift/GPS lock problem still has not been fixed. :dread:

I would have to agree with Dave, I have also seen my gimbal twitch and drift but once in the air its fine, even after a flight it seems to lock steady. New feature looks cool, can't wait to get my AD6 set up dialed in to free up X2 for the new feature.

Just come back from the field, it works lovely. Flick the switch and she flies away in a straight line, no matter what direction you yaw or are flying in. I'll get a video up a bit later.

Oh the problem is still there, regardless if it is being masked via mount geometries and/or gain settings. I've heard from Frank (DJI principle...) directly now that they have identified the problem. It seems the GPS data will cause a slight .1-.2 degree shift in the attitude data in the IMU. They have a fix they can do to the IMU firmware, but since there's no remote way of doing updates to these units, they'd have to be returned to the factory. Instead, they are looking into a mod to take care of this issue in the MC firmware. Hopefully, this won't take too long.

Twas in GPS mode. I didn't actually try it in atti, the instructions say use GPS mode. I'm dead chuffed, one of the big things I think the WKM lacked...now no more. It was the first time I have ever flown "carefree mode" but it makes things so easy.

Oh, it was also windy here, but not gales...probably 5-10MPH.

Video is spooling now, should be up on YouTube in an hour or so, fingers crossed.
